Title: Synopsis on new board
Post by: tintin on March 07, 2011, 10:40:40 AM
The synopsis on the new board; "A Fistful of Dynamite", states  the movie is: " Never on Cable". Far From it! It was on several times at least one week in 2004, on TNT, or Turner Classic Movies, I forget which. There were scenes in it  I had never scene in the Theater (But, the F** words, and Juan flipping off John after he is carried away from El Banco, were cut. Maybe this was AMC, as they cut up movies? I distinctly remember these "dirty" scenes as a 14 y.o.)  Anyway, I had to get the Disc after this--Saw a Lot of scenes that had been  deleted! (Some just shortened the movie.)  A lot in the book was explained.  I have seen been "spoiled"  in that any movie less than 2 hours is not worth it; even 3 hours sometimes barely fully develops the characters. Note how Oscars go to long, epic dramas--Ten Commandments, Lawrence of Arabia, Dr, Zhivago, Titanic, etc?

TCM shows it occasionally but not often. They do seem to play OUATITW with some regularity though.
