Title: Bite the Bullet (1975)
Post by: titoli on April 07, 2011, 11:18:55 AM
I liked it except for the (almost) final twist of the chain-gangers escape: it is a good one but that sidecar chase changes the tone of the movie to comedy and it just doesn't fit. And there is no originality in the treatment of a sequence. Johnson, as usual, steals the show: one of his best performances. Bergen is very pretty but her performance must be one of her wost ever. Coburn and Hackman good as usual. This should be a CJ favourite as it has a train and lots of landscapes. 7\10
