Title: A Time for Dying (1969)

This was both Boetticher's and Murphy's last western and everybody seems to have passed it by. Even Garfield doesn't mention it in his book which ambitiously states to review all he western shot at the date of its publishing. I don't know if it was ever released outside USA. Anyway, there's a dvd around.

which is sold at amazon for a century.

I don't know what to say about it, it isa mixture of some originality, with a great Roy Bean plyed by Jory, and a good cameo by Murphy playing Jesse James. But the other main characters leave me quite doubtful, especially the protagonist. And the direction, with all those zooms, is irksome. The way the the duel is lost by one duelist is...moronic? The OST is mediocre. But watch it. 6\10
