This remake is almost as good as the original, probably weaker only in the comparison Dietrich-Blanchard. I cannot be completely fair to it as I saw it dubbed, but Murphy is good in the lead: actually I suspect he might even be better than Stewart (!). 8\10

Fair enough I agree about Dietrich-Blanchard.

I feel obliged to note that the '39 version was itself a remake. There was an earlier one starring Tom Mix.
