Title: Locations on Google Street View
Post by: Paulo on September 18, 2011, 11:40:30 AM
Thought this might be useful to share maybe?

First off, Los Albaricoques:
http://g.co/maps/5ecq8 (http://g.co/maps/5ecq8) - Duel ring from "FFDM"
http://g.co/maps/qdzr3 (http://g.co/maps/qdzr3) - Agua Caliente entrance ("FFDM")
http://g.co/maps/c2674 (http://g.co/maps/c2674) - "Adios Amigo" ("FOD"), various bits of "FFDM"

Estacion de La Calahorra (Flagstone set remains - "OUTITW")
http://g.co/maps/meacz (http://g.co/maps/meacz)
http://g.co/maps/fm34c (http://g.co/maps/fm34c) - the station itself

I'm sure we could have some fun with this - I have to bail now, but will add more later...

Couple more:

Cortijo El Sotillio
http://g.co/maps/xndtj (http://g.co/maps/xndtj) - where the opening scene of "FOD" was filmed. Unfortunately the camera doesn't go in far enough.

Western Leone (entrance road alongside the A-92)
http://g.co/maps/24f8x (http://g.co/maps/24f8x) - this is the location of Sweetwater ranch, from "OUTITW".
http://g.co/maps/uav29 (http://g.co/maps/uav29) - this is taken from the A-92, you can actually see the entrance to Western Leone and Sweetwater in the background.

Mini Hollywood (entrance only I'm afraid). This area of Almeria is just like one great big Leone movie.
http://g.co/maps/4wxx7 (http://g.co/maps/4wxx7) - "FAFDM", "GBU"

Almeria Station
http://g.co/maps/r53a3 (http://g.co/maps/r53a3) - "DYS"

Guadix Cathedral
http://g.co/maps/gsw52 (http://g.co/maps/gsw52) - "DYS"

when you hit that link and it brings you to the page, hold still and don't touch anything for 5 seconds; it'll automatically bring you to the street view right in front of the station; the same shot we see through Juan's window as he arrives at Mesa Verde station

----------------

let's keep this going guys! Let's try to find SL filiming locations using the Google Maps and street view. we know the names of the locations from Frayling's book, and from websites like Sergio Leone Places of Memory.

Let's each try to chip in with a few. it takes a minute  O0
