Title: Complete Soundtrack
Post by: Dirty Rat on November 03, 2011, 12:51:26 PM
I'm enjoying watching FAFDM on my new TV and only the other week I had the soundtrack on in my car. It has reminded me just how much music is missing from the measily soundtrack that is available.
I know this isn't news to any of you but I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any plans or any realistic possibility of there being an expanded release like with AFOD (Per Un Pugno Di Dollari). I never got around to buying that one but will do one day - if it ever comes down from the stupid price on Amazon.
There is absolutely sh1t loads of music from FAFDM that is unreleased. Cues and whole pieces.

I really need this expanded soundtrack!

There is a ¨ limited expanded edition for collectors ¨ released by GDM (GDM 2038) having 22 tracks.....that might be something?!

Yeah there definitely is an expanded soundtrack out there. Not easy to find, and may cost some significant bucks

Thanks for the info, I had no idea.
It's a shame though that the tracks (which I have listened to on youtube) are only really rips from the film. The extended soundtrack for A Fistful of Dollars that I mentioned in my original post are from the original tapes and they sound just great. I just listened to them on youtube too.

I have the GDM 2038.  It includes tracks like two tracks with lyrics, one in English and one in Italian, making lyrics to stuff like this might be an Italian thing.  Like the relatively-recently found lyrics on YouTube to Jill's America and to Once-America.

Anyway, back to GDM 2038: the best thing that's "new to me" on it is a complete version of the "60 seconds to what" final gunfight (4.03 minutes long).  This starts with just the pocketwatch, then as it starts to die down, Clint appears with the second pocketwatch chimes, then the msuic starts up and loud.  This track is NOT a "lift" from the DVD (but there are a few lifts on the CD).  So to me it was worth it.

That file is like 5 MB as an MP3.  Provide you E-mail address in a PM and I can try to E-mail it.

You can download a lossless rip of GDM 2038 here:

Plenty of other great soundtracks found on this site as well, including the extended soundtrack of Per Un Pugno Di Dollari (GDM 2066):

Not to get off topic, but you NEED to get the expanded edition of Per Un Pugno Di Dollari. It is in chronological order, and Track 12 will send chills down your spine!

I just took a look on iTUnes. They are selling two versions of the FAFDM soundtrack: one has 8 songs; the other has 12 tracks with the music and sound effects of various sequences in the movie; the name of each track is the numbered sequence as it appears in the movie, eg. Track 5 is called "Seq. 8," Track 10 is called "Seq. 16," etc.

But the albums are listed under the Italian name, so you can find them by typing "Per Qualche Dollaro in Piu" into the search box. (make sure to play the previews so you will know you are getting the correct ones; there are many imitators out there)

I had a similar issue.

Here's what I've got:
Bought the Leroy Holmes LP back in late 1960s/early 1970s, all that was available then.

1985 Mrs. Cusser found an Italian import LP in a record store in Santa Barbara, went that afternoon to purchase that, had real tracks.  I am not going to dig in my box of soundtracks to find exactly which that was at this time.

Bought "The Legendary Italian Westerns" Vol. 2  CD 9974-2-R, has tracks from some other westerns as well.

Bought "Per Qualche Dollaro in Piu" CD GDM 2038, 22 tracks.  Not sure all are in stereo, but final shootout with watch music is included.  So I consider this the best of what I've seen.

GDM added ten minutes of music from the last part of the film.. Mono.
The shoot out is taken from the DVD.
