Title: R.I.P. Frank Brana 1934-2012
Post by: El_Chuncho on February 18, 2012, 02:29:05 PM
This may have already been posted but sadly Spanish character actor Frank Brana passed away earlier this week.
Wikipedia tells that he featured in over 200 films!
Another of Indio's crew gone....not sure how many are still with us.

Staple in the Sphagetti westerns....perhaps the longest role I have ever seen him play was in "The Boldest Job in the West"....RIP

I hate how I learn that someone died without ever knowing that they lived  :'(

Does anyone know specifically any actors from Leone's Westerns that are still alive today, besides Claudia Cardinale, Clint Eastwood, Gabrielle Ferzetti, and Eli Wallach? Please don't say Leone's daughter, or the little crying kid Jesus in FOD). I am talking about someone with a decent part in the movie, like a member of Ramon or Indio's gang. It's nice to know if any of them are alive; it's a link to a special moment in history past. I'd like to enjoy the knowledge that they are alive before I have to mourn the knowledge of their passing.

He was one of the first Spaghetti regulars I was able to recognize by face. Those eyebrows are unmistakable! RIP

I didn't know Brana's name, but once I saw this thread and checked him on Google images, I recognized him instantly.

The only gang members that I can say I know by name are Mario Brega, Aldo Sambrell, and Antonio Molino Rojo. (I refuse to mention L.P.   :P)
