Title: Makeup Or Continuity Error?
Post by: Rojo Ramone on June 15, 2013, 10:15:13 PM
I've been wondering for a long time now about the scene near the end where Manco breaks in to steal the gold and gets caught.

When we see him right after getting in through the roof he's wearing dark makeup.
However when Mortimer lights the room his dark makeup is gone.

Has it ever been discussed whether this was a makeup blunder meaning we weren't suppose to notice it or a continuity error where he should've had it on when the lights came on?

My guess is we shouldn't have noticed it.

I always wondered about that. I thought it was the result of poor lighting.

I can't believe we have never discussed this!
I always thought it was a trick to hide his face as much as possible in the dark?

It was discussed, the search engine just sucks.

I just re-watched TGTBTU and the makeup was used again with the scene where Angel Eyes enters the darkened room with Carson's "whore"
This time it was applied better so it wasn't as distracting.
