Title: Time Table (1956)
Post by: titoli on October 18, 2016, 05:22:43 PM
Of course, being this a real noir, of the kind where everything that can go wrong it does, it wasn't included in his list by that bungler CJ, busy searching for movies which are simply dealing with whatever his everchanging daily notion of the genre suggests him.  Well, this is a cheapie, but well written and quite original. It proceeds by plot twists not letting for a good 3/4 of the time letting you know where is leading to. Stevens apparently can't do without his hat, taking it off only to go to the twin bed he occupies at night (the other is for his wife: so why does she wonder if he wants to leaver her for the future Mrs. Lemmon?) but is a good b.lead.  7/10

Seen it, gave it a 6/10 and reviewed it on here,  didn't make it it's own post though and the search doesn't pick it up  :(

The list by the way is from Spencer Selby's Dark City, The Film Noir, we just add to it as titles come up as separate topics, sorry for not being on top of it 24/7. It's added now thanks to your post.  My real list (a work in progress) is here http://noirsville.blogspot.com/ (http://noirsville.blogspot.com/)

So what is the list posted here for? You bring it up to date or you erase it.

BTW, your minireview proves you can't tell a noir when you see one.

I bring it up to date and add more as we find them, I just added The Come On not that long ago, I'm waiting on a copy of Hell Bound to review.
