Title: Very simple question
Post by: RJSaid on December 09, 2004, 08:31:42 PM
Heya everyone,

First time poster, just found out about this board yesterday.

Anyway, I was wondering... has fistful of dynamite/giu la testa ever had an official VHS american release? Because the school I'm currently residing at had a donation of 10,000 rare VHS tapes from Kim's Video (Any new yorkers... im sure you know the store), and i'm so desperate that I'd dig through them in order to find the movie. But I don't want my efforts to be in vain.

Once I secure Giu La Testa, and my copy of My Name is Nobody finally arrives... then my Leone collection will finally be completed.

-RJ

There must have been a VHS release, cause I've got an LD copy of the film. No way would MGM have put out the LD only.

I think I remember seeing a VHS release of this, but I never got it at the time. I don't believe I had all of the Dollars trilogy yet then.  I also saw it just a few years ago in a NY mall  FYE while I was transfering to DVD so I didn't pick it up then either.

Yeah there is one. A friend went over there a couple of years ago and brought me a copy back, with the weird card covers that the Yanks put there vids in

YES!

The Movies Worth Seeing rental shop in my neighborhood has a copy. It's in one of those oversized cardboard boxes with the vacu-formed plastic insert to protect the VHS cassette's shell.

It was titled A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE for this release.
