If I was to buy the R2 DVDs here in the U.S. I would have to spend $82.00! I was wondering if there were any places on the net that sells them cheaper for people in other countries? I'm pretty sure there's some fellow out there that gets the DVDs for wholesale price and sells them for people who couldn't buy them anywhere else without spending a crazy amount of money.
By the way, I'm talking about the Special Edition DVDs coming out soon in the U.K.

The safe bet is. Amazon UK (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0007IK5WI/qid=1111434773/sr=8-7/ref=pd_ka_6/202-2131525-5523839)
But these two specialize in importing euro films. including spaghetti.
Xploited Cinema (http://www.xploitedcinema.com)
Luminous Film & Video Works (http://www.lfvw.com/news.htm)
Theres always Ebay vendors that will do UK Region 2 DVDs.

I would suggest play.com (http://play.com) and cd-wow.com (http://cd-wow.com)
Both can supply you with region 1 and region 2 at fairly cheap prices.

Oh yeah. Forgot about CD WOW.
They are the cheapest. But can be limited in the selection department thou. Free delivery worldwide is quite selling point.
Not to sure Play.com do outside Europe. They have PlayUSA.com but thats more Region 1 (USA to Europe).

Be patient if you don't have the cash right now!. When the 2 disc special editions of 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' & 'Once Opon a Time in the West' were initially released they sold for £19.99 each. However a couple of months later you could pick them up for £9.99! and I've even seen OUATITW going for as low a £7.99 in HMV & and TGTBATU at the same price on www.play.com.

I've just got back from a short break from Chester and I feel a bit ;D as I broke my promise to myself regarding these recent releases.
Let me set the scene, I walk into Virgin Megastore, hoping to look at some of the R2 Fox Studio Classics (of which there was a lack off) when I walk into the 'F' section and lo and behold, Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More, were sitting there. Imedialty my brain told me, no! Wait for the R1's they could be better. Then I saw the price £11.99 each and then my crazy Leone fan inside me broke out and shouted BUY!BUY!BUY! However, I put them down and walked off to HMV (as you do.) This mourning, I nipped out and bought them (reasoning that this'll only be a double dip, wait untill you buy them again) and put them on in the DVD player of the car. Boy I am glad that I bought them. To have them anamorphic and with an improved A/V (despite the glaring omission of mono) and some interesting extras (though I must admit the continue referance in the booklet and synopsis at the back to the Eastwood character being the 'man with no name' is sort of driving me crazy) (Plus also broke the rule, no more DVD's till Sopranos Season 5 comes as New York holiday is coming up soon) Oh well I'm going to enjoy these and they have been placed among all my other Leone DVD's to have a completed Dollars trilogy of the SE's.

If i walk into HMV or a Megastore and found them just short of £7 next crimbo. I might consider it. ;D
