Title: Leone festival today on Encore Western channel
Post by: Cusser on August 13, 2005, 02:45:40 PM
GBU is letterboxed, may be the restored 180 minute version.  Also FDM, Fistful of Dynamite, My Name is Nobody.  Don't know if those are letter-boxed.

Yeah, they're all letterboxed. Gave me a chance to tape A Fistful of Dynamite.

They showed the RESTORED, letterboxed version of DUCK YOU SUCKER (which is the actual title that appeared on the print, not the later DYNAMITE version). It had all the extra bits from the old laserdisc added back into it, plus the extra-long final flashback.

I was totally dumbstruck by this!  Wow!!  :o

Even more exciting were the little promos they ran between movies, with glimpses of the Leone exhibit at The Autry Center and a special introduction to each film by Sir Frayling.

I'm never gonna complain about my big cable bill again!!!
