How far does Tuco have to walk to the nearest town when Blondie leaves him in the Desert. Surely not 70 miles that would have took him about three years....Ok about a day and a half maybe with not even a sun tan?????
And Blondie how far does he walk? From the state of him he looks like he's walked twice as far as Tuco, so three days perhaps???. The desert was 100mls across wasn't it. And how did tuco's horse survive the walk.
Get your thinkin caps on guys

At a regular pace you can do a mile in 20 minutes so about 23 hrs and 10 minutes without a break.
-
ONe of the cut scenes from the version I have, shows Tuco stoping to wash his feet and taunting Blondie. Could be a barrel to feed his horse from besides, I bet it was a disguised camel anyway. You can clearly make out that hump.

he walked six BILLION miles.
trust me
not a huge feat

Tuco walks in at closing time at the gun shop and hangings are usually in the mornings. But.... They had to go out and then come back. and..... "The way back to town is only 70 miles" so doesn't he go back to the town he was hanged in? Dangerous thing for a bandit

Yea you'd think it would be another town not the same one they just left, looks a bit deserted too, don't it?
-
Well Tuco’s not stupid (even though he has trouble reading) so I don’t think he goes back to the town that was going to hang him.
He probably just keeps on going the way Blonide’s horse goes. I mean, if he’s going to hunt down and kill Blondie he might as well start right away. We see him yelling at Blondie and calling him names as he’s left for dead. The next scene is Angel Eyes and the “fresh young whore in the territory” and that takes place a night. The next scene is the next day with Tuco coming to the gun shop presumably in the afternoon/evening?

This is how I've always understood it. Tuco does NOT go back the way he came, the guy with the shop is in another direction. After all, why would Tuco try to go back to a place where (even in the very unlikely event he could make the 70 miles without water) they're just going to try to hang him again?

Yea he would stand out like a sore thumb, especially if he went back. Its got to be a different town. Tuco would know the Territory like the back of his hand, he's is not as dumb as he looks, ;D

always did wonder why the town looked different.
and why he would actually go back with the risk of being hanged.
thanks guys ;)

Let's examine the scene:
"Way back to town is only 70 miles. If you hold your breath I think a man like you could manage it." (or words to that effect).
We can assume that it's 70 miles to the town they ran away from after the hanging scam. For all we know, it's only 20 miles back to another town, one with the gunstore.
So, I draw to conclusions: 1. Tuco walked the shorter distance to another town, or was just a reallt quick walker...
