Title: The 'Burbs (1989)
Post by: franksgrandson on May 01, 2006, 02:57:32 PM
Give this a watch it will have you in stitches, also there is references to Once Upon ATime in the West in it, as Hanks and co go to the neighbours house for the first time they even have the Morricones score playing.
I love this movie its so silly but packed with tributes to other films.

Burbs is one of Hanks' best early movies.  Hanks is very good, and Bruce Dern is hysterical as the Vietnam vet who is still living in the past.

Like ya said, franksgodson, its ridiculous, but that's half the fun.  I'd love to see some sort of special edition dvd with interviews with Hanks, Dern, maybe Carrie Fisher.

Silly 80s comedy, halfway OK.
