A nice little docu-drama that was part of an unfinished film by Eisenstein. Shot in 1931-32

Whats is of interest to us is its views of Mexico which I'm sure had some influence on The Zapatas. In fact they were going to tell the story of the MexRev but they ran out of money, but the section where the Haciendado's rape the local village girl who is to marry a haciendado peon and the peons revlot is well done. Has some great footage of the peons tapping the manguey catus juicem pretty neat to see how its done.
