Title: Execution (1968)
Post by: titoli on September 01, 2006, 02:16:01 PM
A badly shot, confusedly conceived, badly acted, unmemorable in every respect movie with the exception of the circumstance that the landscape is furnished courtesy of Israeli.
Score competent but unmemorable.

In fairness should be added two particulars which, if they don't make the movie worth seeing, still display some originality.
The first is the title sequence with a travelling shot on the running horse's head on the right side of the screen.
The second is the back shot from a guitar's interior while a string is being shot at and snaps. As somebody was enthusiastic about a similar effect in Keoma, it is right to point at this precursor.

I'm afraid they're not, as they are to be found also in the review at the italian SWdb.

I agree it is unexceptionional and i had to click on your link to bring up the photo stills to make me (sort of) remember(a case of mistaken identity and hidden gold i believe!)-the leads, basically nobodys, weren't particularly impressive, but i managed to stick with it throughout and i think it was  enjoyable enough and i'll probably watch it again.I've seen much much worse ;D

Me too, but that doesn't mean I enjoy hurting myself.
