Title: Avatar trouble
Post by: The Firecracker on November 08, 2006, 12:27:29 PM
my wonderful avatar of Coburn holding the "holy water" has been mysteriously deleted from my avatar and I can't get it back.

I have to settle for this crappy close up. Is there anyway To resize avatars so I can get anything I want?

i would like this one...

Probably you've got the same problem as mine. I like your new CU of Coburn though.

Seriously, this new avatar is way cooler than the old one.

It is. It only doesn't make so much sense with the holy water saying, but it's really good anyway.

If you have a photo editing program, you can resize them very simply. If not, I could do it for you. ;) Just tell me what exactly you wish and I'll try to do my best.

I guess you don't want the left bare part there... OK. I'll try... and I think it will be no problem, because I did the same with my avatar. ;)

I would wait on that if I were you, Firecracker. Look carefully at those captured photos. They are both squeezed. But if Marmota strech the image to the noraml ratio, that's another story.

Of course I will! It should be 16:9, right?

Well, now I don't know how much should it be, but whatever it should, this didn't work, so I will just experiment...

Finally Imageshack allowed me to enter my images... It had been somewhat lazy.

The url should be in properties. I named it in Czech, so hopefully it won't disappear. ;)

I hope you like this. And hope it has the right size for avatar.

It didn't fit :(

Thanks a lot for the try marmota.

sorry.

Maybe the avatar ratio is not right. I can seen the screen ratio has been corrected but now it's an issue of the aspect ratio of the avatar. I would decrease the width a little so it will be accepted as an avatar.

OK, I'll resize it a bit. I don't remember the avatar ratio, that's it.

But now I will always be confused by your avatar, because it looks too much like my work... ::)

Just kidding. You're welcome. I like playing with pictures. The worst part of it was uploading it to Imageshack, because the site was so lazy. ;D

Sometimes Imageshack can be slow...but its usually very fast.

Not only Imageshack, sometimes all sites are lazy, so I really don't mind.

Too late. I'm on Imageshack already and don't want to change (it would be too complicated for me). ;D

I edited it a bit as well, if you don't mind. It came out too dark.

What is the pixel limit on Avatars here?  I've got a good picture and can re-size it myself if someone could tell me the height/width (100/100)?

Yes, I believe it's 100 x 100.
