I didn't expect much from this and much I didn't get. But the movie is enoyable anyway if you want to pass the time having some laugh watching a well-made product. I am not a Spencer fan so I wouldn't know where to classify this among his movie, but I think that it would rank with the very runners up of the best ones. Spencer is very good as usual (in the italian version he dubs himself) and so afre the others. Maybe some are disturbed by the cartoonish quality of some sequences, like the finale. I think that can be an asset if it is well-made: and in this case it is.
Morricone is on the same level as the rest: good but not memorable: you already know them all, though you never heard them.

Its much much better than Spencers other "solo" sw Can Be Done Amigo though his idiotic red indian sidekick is rather irritating but Morricones soundtrack makes the dvd very worth owning :)
Titoli have you seen The Fight Before Xmas which was  a Trinity-like re-union of Hill & Spencer from the mid-90's?
Slightly over sentimental in places but pretty well done!!

It Can Be Done has some scenes that really made me roll on the floor (the one of Spencer with the whorel I still remember). And I think the indian pard was good. No I haven't seen the Hill-Spencer reunion yet, I will.

What did you think of ex world heavyweight contender Joe Bugner as the crooked sheriff in Buddy Goes West?
I thought he didn't do to bad a job? ::)

I totally agree. Acrtually he looks more at ease on a set than I remembered him being on a ring .

This is getting the dvd treatment for R1 audience on July 31st.

Decent comedy western starring Bud Spencer. The real reason to buy it is for the excellent Morricone soundtrack.

You can pre-order it on Amazon

From my perspective, the movie has some good moments, but it turns too silly (and even too gross at times) for my taste. Nevertheless, I admit I had a few good chuckes while watching it (the scene of Spencer "curing" the old man early in the movie really made me laugh).

I am a Morricone admirer, but I found this particular soundtrack just average. In fact I don't think it fits the movie too well.

I think the dvd is only worth owning if you are a Bud Spencer fanatic (or if you find it for a ridiculously low price).  >:D

5.5/10

One of those flicks (pretty much all of the Spencer ( - Hill) ones) you can't rate without being either subjective or thankless.

My choice is subjective.
