Title: Yvonne de Carlo Ponti, RIP
Post by: dave jenkins on January 11, 2007, 04:54:18 PM
Reading the obits today, you'd think The Munsters and Sophia Loren were our cultural highlights. Nothing said about the films with Godard or Antonioni, nothing said about Yvonne's amazing performance in Criss Cross. Jackasses!

I've missed the news so far today, and only heard about Carlo Ponti through this forum. He certainly had quite a life. His wonderful villa in Capri is one of the stars of Polanski's comedy, CHE? 94 years, produced some great movies and happily married to the same woman for decades? Few of us are as fortunate as Mr. Bridges.

Wasn't Zeffirelli's?
