Good idea LA!

Other forums have "newbie" sections all to themselves. Don't know if you want to look into that.

...And yet, no newbies in sight so far... i'm sure they just haven't discovered it yet, like marmota pointed out.

In fact, i'm probably the newest member on the thread so far, yay me!!!

;D

but perhaps there should be some sort of "guidelines for newbies" thread to help them know where to post and what to post, because being new at this, sometimes you're a bit disoriented.
This thread was a great idea, so it'd also be nice to present suggestions for newbies on posting, the "hot topic" threads, starting new topics, etc. it might interest them.

Hi! ;) I'm new here. A fan of Sergio, Ennio Morricone, Clint Eastwood...... and French chansons (Gilbert Becaud, Joe Dassin).
English is not my native language, so, I apologise in front for my spelling - grammaticall - syntax... and eny other mistakes & errors.
(It would be easier for me if English would be written as it is spoken...But, I'll manage somehow...)
Are just guys fans of Sergio, Ennio and Clin or we have girls also here??? Well, hello to girls :-) ::)

Post by: Mr. Pseudonym on April 21, 2007, 03:39:08 PM
Hello!
I've been a fan of Sergio Leone movies for a long time. My mother wouldn't let me watch them because they were 'too violent,' my grandfather, on the other hand, was cut from different cloth. I remember watching the movies anyway on an old RCA videodisc player, and "A Fistful Of Dollars" and "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" being the only ones rentable at the time.
I beeged him to BUY "A Fistful Of Dollars," and he did. I remember both TGTBATU and FDM were both double discs. He hadn't seen FDM in awhile, and I'd never seen it. It was a hot August night and I loved every second.
I recently discovered, even though I'm much older, that there's much more to Sergio Leone and the Spaghetti genre in general. I just saw, for only the second time, Once Upon A Time In America, and am still awed by the fact that the same director who gave us such terrific films as OUATITW and others could make a gangster film. The only film of Sergio's I haven't seen is "A Fistful Of Dynamite," or "Duck You Sucker." And I'm waiting. In suspense.
These movies have been a part of my life. To see Clint Eastwood look down that rifle sight at Tuco on the rope at the end of TGTBATU, and of course the appearance of Henry Fonda (which I still remember my Grandpa saying "Good God in HELL!" Sergio's movies have me hypnotized to this day. I'm 37 right now, and each time I watch one of his movies, I feel as I'm a youngster. My favorite one cannot be pinned at this point.
Best wishes, all Sergio Leone fans, and I hope to have a good time on this board. How do you like my username?! 8)

Thank you, Leone Admirer! And I already made my first mistake. ::) It was actually For A Few Dollars More that I saw after the other two Clint Eastwood ones. For some reason, it wasn't 're-run' on TV as much as the others. And of course, nothing on TV compares to the uncut versions!

Yeah it is a rather interesting nick..

About your "un-cut versions" comment above, you're absolutely right. There's nothing like the originals and being able to rewind or fastforward to the best parts...once you've seen the movie all the way through at least once of course. Welcome.

Thanks to both of you! Actually, I don't think I ever have fast-forward(ed) through a Sergio Leone movie. I've watched them over and over and that 'tension build-up' aspect never dies for me!
Marmota-b, yes, I understand about that. Some English words are ridiculously spelled. The word "Wednesday" is one of my favorite examples. Why all the extra letters?! ;)

How would you spell it? A word is more than its pronunciation, it also contains clues of its etymology. Why give up the indicators that Wednesday is derived from "Woden's Day"?

You'll find we're a pretty friendly bunch here at the Sergio Leone Web Board. We prefer someone who smiles at us, especially if he's carrying a gun. But when a feller who's the spit and image of Beauregard Bennet rides into town, carrying a gun and not smiling, then we begin to worry.

Question: Am also on Eastwood site, although I don't post as much there, but was wondering how you bring that symbol up on your profile? Also, am having extreeeme difficulty putting up avatar under name. Maybe someone could do a complete walk-thru post for the less-informed. I cannot even bring up the generic avatars(if there are any). Not all of us grew up with 'puters :'(

I'm not sure how did I do it, maybe I forgot it... but I'll try. I almost grew up with computers (since I was five, I guess), but not the internet...

You find the image you want to use as your avatar. You make sure you can hotlink it, i.e. that the image doesn't disappear when you do. I think one of the ways how to do it is google the image and go straight to the image itself, not only the site. Sometimes only an image telling you that hotlinking isn't allowed appears, so in that case you're sure you cannot use the image...

If you have an account on a site used for image storage (I use ImageShack, but that was quite a random choice and maybe others would reccommend something else), this is, of course, easier.

Anyway, I think you need the direct URL. Without the part. You copy it to the blank space in your profile, hit OK button and it should work, I hope. If not, well, ask someone else...

I'm member on IMDb also, with the same ID, and looks like there is some same people as there in here. Hello to everyone!

Hi fellow Sergio Leone fans!
This is my very first thread on this wonderful site.
I've been a fan of the magnificent Leone for 31 years now, having fallen in love with 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly', when it aired on BBC1 TV on Easter Monday, 1976. In 1979, I finally got to see 'Fistful of Dollars' & 'For A Few Dollars More' (this time, on BBC2). The 'Dollars Trilogy' is - without doubt - my 3 favourite films of all time, although I also love 'Once Upon A Time in the West' & 'Duck You Sucker'.
I'm looking forward very much to being able share my love and respect of these films with other fans.
I'm off to Almeria in a few days for a 2 week holiday; and have arranged with the web-site 'Tuco Tours', to visit ALL of the Leone locations. Apparantly, I'm the first person to ever request seeing all of the locations - and Tuco Tours have now decided to call the 3 day experience 'The Full Leone'!
Myself and my wife can't wait to get back to Almeria. This will be our 5th visit, and - for me - it's a pilgrimage of sorts. Can't wait to leave Britain for a short while, because Almeria is - above all else - my spiritual home...
Looking forward to hearing from other fans...Adios

Hi all, boy is this a pleasure! I'm a thirtysomething from Long Island, N.Y. - and I've been a Leone
geek since first seeing 'OUATITW' on tv as a kid. Some of the first vinyl records I bought were
Leone/Morricone soundtracks, and today I've got every collaboration on special edition cd.

In junior high school I went to see 'OUATIA' in it's butchered U.S. form (hey, didn't have
a choice at the time) and today the long cut is a big fave of mine.

I collect posters/lobby cards/etc. from Leone's films, and I've rubbed elbows with Eastwood,
(twice) Wallach, Bronson, Robards, and Cardinale. Some at charity events, some on stage.
I finally saw Morricone in person this past February at Radio City Music Hall. It was hallucinatory!
Seeing the man in person would've been more than enough thanks very much - but to see him
CONDUCT his works.... I welled up more than once.

Bought the Anthology yesterday (while playing hooky from work - hey, priorities!) and hope to
devote most of this weekend to immersing myself in it. Seeing 'Duck' in it's complete form will
be amazing....

I'm so glad I found this site, and I hope to enjoy many hours here with like-minded disciples of
one of the world's most underappreciated/misunderstood auteurs.

Thanks!

If I had to choose one as a stand out...The Good,The Bad And The Ugly would have to be the one. Why? Because it's more of an "epic" than the other two.

Hello everyone my name is Kevin. I am a new member. I am 19 years old, and I have recently got into Sergio Leone and quickly became an admirer. Though I was aware of the iconic Man with No Name portrayed by Clint Eastwood, it wasn't until a few months ago that I became fascinated by Leone's westerns. I first watched The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly on the encore western, and I ended buying The Sergio Leone Anthology, and fell in love with the dollars trilogy and even enjoyed Duck, You Sucker. For several weeks it became an ambition to find Once Upon a Time in the West, and yesterday while I was in Best Buy across the street from the movie theatre (waiting on seeing Live Free or Die Hard), there it was being priced as 7 dollars. As I joked on the IMDB board, I was expecting it to be a few dollars more. I instantly fell in love with it, and I already regard it as one of my favorite films of all time, along with The Good the Bad and the Ugly. To me the two films are incomparable. So far I've only seen and own five of six of his most well known films, and I am hoping to watch Once Upon a Time in America. Just not sure which version is out yet...

Oh you're in for a treat boy. This score is arguably his greatest. It's right up there with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly and Once Upon a Time in the West. Chilling, touching, beautiful score.

This is a new site for me, in fact Tucumcari_Bound was the one who told me about it. I am excited as I am probably older than most of you, I think, and I saw Fistful of Dollars, Good the Bad and the Ugly etc. in the movie theatres. So I look forward to discussing the master Leone and lets not forget his partner, Morricone..

Yes, welcome. What part of Mexico are you from? I'd be particularly interested in hearing your views on Duck, You Sucker.

I'm from Zapopan, Jalisco (in the west of Mexico).

I have two different views about Duck, You Sucker:

The first one is about the film itself: I think it's great to see the way Leone's style had grown up at that point, you see all his trademarks, the beautiful shots of landscapes, the graphic description of the characters through the extreme closeups of faces, the intensity of Morricone's Soundtrack, the story telling also improved from his past works...

The second one is about the historic context of the film: I see this aspect the same way I see the aspect of the Civil War in GBU, Leone is not trying to give us an history lesson, he's just filming his particular version of the history, and yes he can't help to describe the Mexican Revolution as a simple class conflict, rich against poor, which is accurate to a certain point, but personally I would have made more emphasis on the fact that the intellectual creators of this fight were all middle class, upper middle class people.

Finally I can say I like James Coburn, as the Irish fighter, but I don't find Rod Steiger very convincing as Juan Miranda (this is just my personal taste). I rank this movie as my 5th favorite Leone movie.

Ah I am sure that was a great cinematic experience for you, yes?

You bet it was, Kevin! I remember I walked out of the theatre thinking that this movie was completely different from what I had seen before. Things that struck me at the time:
1). No pathetic love story
2). No clean shirts after a 20 miles ride.
3). Sweaty faces
4). Little dialogue and just to the point
5). The music
6). Clint being so cool

And many other things. In short, I knew as a 12 year old kid that I would not forget this movie and I started looking for more Sergio Leone movies. Since I live in Italy, I didn't have to wait very long to see the other two dollar movies and OUITW.
The only drawback was that after seeing FOD, I started to compare every movie I saw with Sergio's movies and of course nobody got even close to it. To this day, I still feel the same..!

Well that's actually amazing!! We're talking about over 40 years of films that have yet to come close to Leone's quality!!!

That just puts him in a category of his own!

I know that part very well. Since the summer holidays of 2003 (I believe), watching films have never been the same as it was before...

Welcome everyone whose coming I missed.

The only drawback of this board is, that it makes me forget about such things like that I'm copying my photos from the USA to the computer right now...

Oh, BTW, all you guys, I brought many things from the USA, one of them being OUATIA. I haven't had time to watch it yet, but I hope I'll have it very soon, maybe tomorrow. That makes Colossus of Rhodes the last one...

O0 O0 O0

Absolutely true! When I was about 10 years old I watched the "first Leone". :) It was OUATIW. I watched it on TV with my father and my brother... What can I say...? I think that several days after watching it, I was still thinking only about that film and nothing else. After that, like you said, there was/there is/and there will be just LEONE! O0

Greetings to you Leonardo! O0

Maybe it would be a good idea to tell newbies what to do to stay involved. There's an elimination thread based on all of Leone's films, where they get to duke it out. All members are encouraged to play this game. Also, don't be afraid to post on a topic which hasn't been posted on in 120 days. If you successfully renew interest, you'll become even more popular and well regarded. Well, that's what I think anyways.

I'm Tuco_Harmonica, I just wanted to clear up any possible confusion of members seeing a stranger with a few hundred posts. I just discovered that you can change your username and I was never fond of my old moniker. I didn't mean to pull any tricks or shenanigans, I just really disliked my old name. Thanks.

I love the name buddy! O0

You know what should happen? Every time a new member signs up, they should be sent a PM telling them how to post and stuff. It must've been about three days after I registered that I learned how to post. Might seem weird, but you never know how many people might actually come back. Less then a third of the ppl who register actually continue to post.

For all newbies who want to post, but don't know how: you go to the topic you want to post in, go to the bottom of the page, and press on the "post" button. Sorry if this seems weird for me to post, but this is considering that most people who register don't post.
Do not come if you don't have respect for people's opinions.

For the last week or so, I've been looking through a lot of the forum. VERY interisting. So decided it was time to join. My Favorite western man is Lee VanCleef. But I like many more, they all are good (or bad ;) in there own way. I'm from Washington state, (USA) in the middle where theres lots of desert. I really enjoy the SW. Use to watch a lot with my father growing up. He always thought Clint Eastwood was the coolest kid (at that time) to be in the westerns, So, by the time I was about 6, I loved them all, especially when LVC, was on. Now I still drool over him. Helenea :)

Been a member for about a month. I'm learning so much here. I thought I was alone with my admiration for the Leone films. I have watched GBU so many times for so many years that I think I've reached a new level of consciousness (maybe I was unconscious?). I see some part or all of the movie at least once a week. My wife slams the door whenever she hears it on. None of his movies have ever become stale with me. Some of you long-timers are so knowledgable that I am honored to read your comments. Thank you for now and in the future. Have patience with the new members, they/me joined because we can see all this site has to offer. Oh yea...Wallach was the best actor and /or character in any of his movies...my humble and accurate opinion. O0

Hey,what's up guys.A little about myself,I guess......My name is Cole,I'm 35,married with four children, live in Tupelo ,MS(yeah, the birthplace of the King),and I'm a salesman for Pepsi.Enough of that I want to thank you for letting me be a part of your community, and talk about my exposure to Leone films.
I have never really watched Westerns until about two years ago. That is probably due more to rebellion than anything else.In my life as a small town, southern boy westerns were always popular among the older generations,so I decided at a young age that I loved horror movies.Well I look back at all the junk I grew up watching(not all but most],and realized that I was truly igorant. Not only about westerns, but cinema in general.
About two years ago my oldest son Austin(14 now,12 at the time),came home from spending the night at a friends house talking about watching The Good,The Bad,and The Ugly with his friend and his friend's dad.He was talking about "Blondie"and"Angel Eyes"and "Tuco"and a three way shoot out.I wasn't very interested, but he was.He eventually bought the DVD with his own money.I decided I would watch it with him because it seemed to mean a lot to him.WOW!This is the first time that I had ever watched a movie and thought anything about "style".I had no idea what went into making a movie, or about camera work,or anything like that.I just knew this film was amazingly different.I was blown away by the music and how it worked in the film. The whole combining of the two just felt operatic.I loved this filmed immediately, and thanked my son for insisting I watch it.
I have become a huge fan since then.Well, actually my whole family has.I have bought the whole Leone collection and have gotten into Peckinpah as well, but Leone is still my favorite.I think Once Upon a Time In the West is my favorite of his films.Well,I seem to watch that one the most anyways.
Thanks again for having me.I'll post wherever I don't feel stupid posting.haha.I'm here to learn as I don't think I can teach you guys anything. Also I'm new to the whole forum thing so forgive me if I don't know the proper etiquette sometimes.I look forward to getting to know you guys.

Welcome, Cole! And don't be afraid of being ignorant, I am as well and I managed to gain this many posts with such state of mind. ;) Well, maybe now after the three years here, I'm not as ignorant anymore, but I still feel like being.

My evolution as a Leone fan is a bit similar to yours, by the way. Not that I'd hated westerns and loved horros - I don't, and I always loved westerns, but I haven't seen many of them so far (and Leone is still the best so far). I mean, for me it also started with GBU and now my favourite is OUATITW. (You ought to learn these abbreviations, they're being used around here a lot.)

You mean John Ford's THE SEARCHERS is a masterpiece? It's only one of the greatest American made films of all-time, a film as to which most A-list director's working today worship.

Anyway, here's some great American Western's to check out Cole...

The Searchers
The Wild Bunch
Unforgiven
McCabe & Mrs. Miller
Ride the High Country
My Darling Clementine
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence
Red River
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Stagecoach

Start off with those my friend.

After reading and following the board for about four years as a guest I finally registered attracted by the level upon which discussions are led giving me new insights in the SW and moreover the politness with which posts are written is also appreciated. This is no flattery but meant as a 'thank you' to all registered users of this board.

Hey everyone - it's been a very long time since joining, and I never really had the time to contribute in earnest, so this is
basically the beginning (again).

I'm 41, and a life-long Leonegeek. I was 11 or 12 when I first saw Once Upon A Time In The West on t.v. and immediately
fell in love with it's strange rhythms, haunting score, and complex dynamics. The soundtrack was one of the first vinyl
records I saved up for and bought, and I must've watched the double-vhs a zillion times.

In 1984, I went to see Once Upon A Time In America in the theater. I was 15, and though it was just a glimpse of what
SL intended I still loved it (at the time I didn't know I was watching a butchered, rearranged cut).

Over the years, I've gone out of my way to see cast memebers of SL films in person (Clint, Eli Wallach, Charles Bronson,
Jason Robards, Claudia Cardinale..), and a couple years back I got to see Morricone's first ever live U.S. performance
(which nearly brought me to tears).

I've got all the films, all the special edition soundtracks, all the books, and a box of posters and lobby cards.

It's great to be here (finally), and I really look forward to spending time with like-minded die-hards. Thanks..!

Oh my, how great to see that mistake in somebody else's typing! I know, it's stupid of me, but... I keep typing it this way all the time. If not worse. I don't know why it's just this typo that keeps reocurring in my writing, it simply is.

Thanks! Btw, I think it's kinda evident - it's the whole 'e' following an 'm' thing. While typing it, you accidentally repeat that pattern..

Hello! I thought it'd be nice to briefly introduce myself. I'm a twenty-year-old college student, and you can call me J.B., that's the name I typically go by on internet message boards and even IMDB. I'm definitely a fan of Sergio Leone's work, as well as Ennio Morricone's music, in addition the acting talents of his films, such as Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Eli Wallach, Lee Van Cleef, Gian Maria Volonte, etc... Apart from Italian Westerns, my interest lie in history, archaeology, politics, Christian theology, mythology, and forensic science. I plan on being a fairly active member in this community, and my favorite of Leone's films is The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, although Once Upon a Time in the West certainly comes close.

Amigo, if you love Sergio Leone's work (but also Ennio Morricone's, as well as Spaghetti Westerns or Westerns in general), you've come to the right place - I bid you welcome! 8)

First thing you need to do is read the first 3 topics on this sub-forum:

http://www.fistful-of-leone.com/forums/index.php?board=12.0

(You don't need to go through all the pages of the first one, though. ;))

Once you do that, the accommodation to all the rest will come more naturally.

I'll have to merge this topic with the big ''Official Welcome to the...'' thread, nothing personal, it's standard procedure, your post will be there with the rest. Resistance is futile anyway.

I'll leave it here until you read it. ;)

I'm a 47 year old artist and special effects guy , who plays gorillas in movies.
What does that have to do with spaghetti westerns ? Not a damned thing.
But I'm a gorilla that loves the hell out of spaghetti westerns and Morricone's music.
I've got 4 young children whom I've corrupted with these great movies.
I'm glad to be here, and it's great to see people who are so knowledgable about all things Leone.

Hi all!

Longtime Leone fan, ever since catching GBU late one night on cable many years ago. In fact, the Dollars films are what actually turned me on to Westerns. Previously, I thought they were all cliche-ridden and extremely tired. I loved all kinds of classic films no matter the language, but Westerns bored me to tears.
Then I was introduced to Sergio and the magic of Techniscope.
After recently re-watching Duck You Sucker and mulling about the ending's implications for the zillionth time (not to mention the incorrect 5.1 mix!) I decided to join the board.

Here's to many great discussions.

Hello to everybody:)

I'm a 21 years old male from Germany who has just recently rediscovered his love for Leone's movies and Morricone's music. Yesterday I ordered the Italian BDs for FAFDM, GBU and MNIN as well as the German one for OUATIA. Together with last year's BD of OUATITW that's quite a good start to rewatch these movies finally. When I first watched them I was 14 or 15 years old and had to buy them all on DVD instantly. It's great that now, only a few years later, most of them are available in HD and yet sad, because almost all of these BD releases are only a compromise of what would have been possible (regarding original cuts, music, crappy quality, ...)
I'm glad I finally joined this forum, I've been a reader for a few years now!
Well and that's it for now :)

Hello to all!

I'm a 19 year old male from Australia, but I feel that to get to know me better I need to tell my story of how I became a fan of Sergio Leone.
It was the winter of 2003, a 9 year old boy first became introduced to Clint Eastwood on TV through Dirty Harry, and thought he was the biggest badass, and wanted to see more of him kicking ass (and being a badass), so he went to the video store with his mother, and asked for a "Clint Eastwood" movie, to which the one of the workers there recommended "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly". The boy took the DVD and looked at the cover, that picture of Blondie, Tuco and Angel Eyes was enough to tell him he was in for a ride. However, he couldn't stay up to watch it that night so he waited until the next day. He got up next morning, and watched the first 30 minutes before he went off to school, with the main theme of the title sequence stuck in his head throughout the entire day. He got back and continued the remaining 2 or so hours. At first he thought the movie was too long, but thought it was epic - and he didn't realise why it was so epic.

About a year later, in the summer of 2004, that boy rented A Fistful Of Dollars, watched it and loved it [it became one of his favourite movies - and still is], he then found out that TGTBTU and this movie were part of a trilogy, so he went out again to rent FDM, except this time he didn't think much of FDM [maybe because family guests were over and he was too distracted to immerse himself into the story]. It was clear to him that FOD was his favourite of three, and become one of the movies he could continue watching and not get sick of. Now, fast forward 9 years, that 18 year old boy decided to revisit TGTBTU, but was interested in watching the extended version. He had not seen TGTBTU in about 9 years, but managed to distinguish the deleted scenes from the rest of the movie. After he finished watching it, the deleted scenes only added to the spectacle, and the boy asked himself 'Why don't I watch this more often?' as he realised he was probably too young at the time when he first saw it to fully appreciate it. And after this, it became one of his favourite movies. He now realised why it was so epic - the story, the scope, the characters, the score, and last but not least Sergio Leone. Then came FDM, and through a 18 year old's view, the movie was EPIC, and together as a trilogy, it became one of his favourite movies, with each movie getting a 5/5.

That boy was now interested in Sergio Leone, and so decided to watch the Once Upon A Time trilogy, he watched them, loved them also, but was saddened that this man only made 6-7 movies, and died way too early. A few months ago, he bought the blu ray trilogy, and re-watched the movies with commentaries, getting new bits of information about the movies, and became interested to find out more so he stumbled upon this site which provided a wealth of information on deleted scenes, behind the scenes information and possible messages that are present in each of his films, and from then, he had grown a deep appreciation for these wonderful movies. And now, as 19 year old, I finish this story off with, "Sergio Leone...I take my hat off to you.".

(If you made it this far without getting bored, I appreciate and thank you for taking the time to read this).

Hey Senza, welcome aboard and thanks for sharing your story O0

if you are looking to learn more about Leone -- both his life and his movies -- I'd suggest the best place to start is with his biography, called "Sergio Leone: Something To Do With Death" by Christopher Frayling. Frayling is guy you've been listening to on those commentaries.
That book -- which is frequently referred to around here as "STDWD" -- is the Leone Bible (at least for English-language fans) :)

Beebs: You were gone? Well, welcome back . . .

Senza: Welcome. I found your Leone story interesting. So, FOD was the one you liked most when you were younger? That's good to know. Probably when we are introducing our children, nephews, whoever to Leone, that's the title to start with. It's simple. GBU requires a fairly sophisticated viewer to appreciate what's going on. You have to be able to maintain interest in several storylines simultaneously, a skill that most young viewers haven't developed yet.

I think GBU is a very simple plot to follow (only Leone could have stretched that basic a plot into a 3 hour movie). IMO, OUATIA is the only Leone movie with a plot that is difficult to follow -- even for a seasoned viewer. (Actually, come to think of it, The Colossus of Rhodes has an insanely convoluted plot ;))
But no doubt, FOD is the plot that is the most straightforward.

Groggy - Thanks, dude!

Dave Jenkins - At the time it was, maybe because it was the shortest of three and had a lot of action. I remember knowing the dialogue about the mule off by heart and thought I should use it on someone at school haha. When it came to TGTBTU, I agree with you in that it does take someone a bit older to fully understand and appreciate it, especially the way in which the civil war gets in the way of the treasure hunt - at 9 years old I certainly didn't even think about any anti-war messages that maybe present there. When watching it, I almost forgot about Eastwood being in the movie because Tuco was stealing the show. When it came to the final showdown, and that wide shot of them getting into position in that circle, I thought it was so cool. I remember having a friend over watching it as well, and all he could say was "Come on! Shoot someone already!".

I personally think OUATIA is SL's most ambiguous and hard to follow film because I've read many interpretations/theories involving the ending, and when I first saw it, I was confused with Noodle's smile at the end, and I'm still baffled by it because it has so many meanings apparently.

Howdy, y'all. After 28 pages of this thread, I have finally arrived. I passed a bunch of characters on my trek, including a few lovely ladies, the ever-elusive Bill Carson, and even a gorilla impersonator, but it was very hard crossing the desert, especially if you don't have anything to drink. ;)

I have been exploring the site for the last few days, and I'm not sure how much I could possibly add, but I do appreciate the reviews and opinions from such a large group of scholars. Y'all have a nice little town, and I'll be much obliged to just have a few drinks and occasionally chime in. 8)
