It was a pain going through this. The negative review at the italian swdb is right on the dot (though I wonder if the reviewer wrote it  some years after the vision, as he makes mistakes on some particulars). I think Di Leo wrote the story in 5 minutes, having the word "pony express" to start from. Idaho Joe (Idaho Kent at imdb) has to deliver a message which will mark the end of a corrupt politician. He survives many attempts on his life but with the help of some pioneers he will deliver the message in Sacramento. Themain problem lies not so much in the stale dialogues, in the all too foreseeable plot and in the weak players (but Carol Andrč is very pretty) but in the landscape, which is the usual seen in other tens of movies shot near Rome. Also the cartooned prologue (on a amateurish level as to quality of the drawing) it is embarassing.
Score under the par by Lello Gori.
