Title: $10,000 BLOOD MONEY(1966)
Post by: Banjo on May 26, 2007, 04:27:45 AM
I'm opening up this long overdue topic with a review from Silenzio :-

10,000 Dollars Blood Money -- A well-crafted spaghetti with everybody's favorite anti-hero Gianni Garko.  This movie was solid in every aspect.  That's really the only word you can describe it as: "solid."  The music was good, but not very memorable, the direction was good, with one or two eye-catching angles, the plot was decent, and the actors were good.  Garko really just has to be himself to be a good anti-hero.  My only problem with the villain was that they REALLY lathered on the make-up, and the dubber was trying too hard to sound Mexican in a few parts.  I can forgive that, though.  Garko plays a bounty killer named Django (what else) who decides to go after Manuel Vasquez, for no particular reason other than that it's his job.  He tries to milk his job for all he can, though, so when Manuel kidnaps a wealthy land-owner's daughter, he gets the land-owner to offer him 5,000 dollars for the return of his daughter.  When you add that to the 5,000 dollar bounty that the government already put on Manuel's head, you get "a tidy sum" (in the words of Angel Eyes).  Hence the title of the movie.  There's a romance sub-plot that doesn't really work well... at all... in fact, it's pretty annoying, but this later goes on to contribute to the main plot of the film (if you watch the movie, you'll know what i'm talking about).

But Garko had a moustache that I want to lick to no end.

I need English subtitles for it. I have it in Italian, but I only understand Italian when it's singed. :DDD
Help...

EDIT:

Watched. Sometimes it was not only Italian, Spanish too. But it's equal. I understood the important things.

My God, Claudio Camaso is really HOT! Those eyes! That crazy look!  :-[ Gorgeous! And veeeery evil.

It's a good spag. All what you need, including one of the best ghost town shootouts.

Too slow, sorry. Toward the end it gets a little better but there is nothing that makes me recommend its vision. 3\10.

Agreed with the above assesment.
Although I would give it a average score (5/10).
The twin brother of this movie (Vengeance is Mine) is far better.

I want that twin desperately *sigh*

It's beautiful. Poor Claudio. If I understood good, the "kidnapped" girl was totally in love with him, so there was not to much to save on her.  ;D

Too bad this hot boy ended so tragically.  :'(
