This has one of the best posters ever (see italian db link) and, for once, the movie itself it's up to the expectations stirred by that rough image. This movie has everything a SW is supposed to have (but rarely does): revenge theme, exasperated violence, little room for sentimental sub-plot. It adds a perfect casting (I am no Ardisson fan but here he's perfect as can be. Ghidra is just as good but I'll say that Martell and Stratford are tolerable here, which is a greater feat than all the other ones). The rhythm and the dirction are faultles, the score is not memeorable but is impeccable and the deguejo almost as thrill-giving as those of Morricone (well, almost). A big problem with this movie was the quality of the recent italian release, bordering on the amateurish: the copy has no colours but it is all monochromatic, in red. Frequent jumps in the film and the soundtrack. Anyway this gets from me 7/10. No more because I would have liked more imagination in the killing scenes (to lean, for the umpteenth time on Django is no warranty of originality).

I have to add that the summary at IMDB it is not correct as it says that Ardisson is married. I hadn't gathered as much from my copy.
