Title: Monument Valley shooting
Post by: Cusser on January 18, 2008, 06:14:31 PM
Does anyone know what month/year (assume 1968) the Monument Valley scenes were filmed?  And if Leone came through Phoenix, AZ?  I assume they stayed at Gouldings as there's no other place anywhere near close.

Living in Arizona, I sure wish I had known the location of the arch back then, to see it intact.

It's on the ''An Opera of Violence'' or ''The Wages of Sin'' documentary, on the 2-disc SCE DVD. Tonino Delli Colli (or maybe Gabriele Ferzetti, not sure) talks how they were staying in a little hotel on the border. Don't remember the name.
