This is just a stupid idea I got some time ago.
This is the place where you can solve the arguments that get too heated in real western way, or you can play it just for fun. This is somewhat similar to the Leone quizzes we have had, but without the questions. An objective judge posts a word in normal letters. Then the two rivals try to post the same word as fast as possible in CAPITAL LETTERS. In capital letters to avoid copying and pasting. Naturally the fastest hand wins. I know there's no way to be sure that the judge doesn't inform either of the rivals about what the word is beforehand, I just hope that won't happen. The judge must be somebody approved by both participants. This can also be played in GBU style if you write the name of your "target" before the actual word. I'd really like to see if this actually works so I hope we can witness our first duel as soon as possible >:D

That's a funny idea. I don't think I need it, but I might try it one day just for the fun of it. :D

It seems to me you want more rules. What kind of game requires only one move? Why not have a series of duels and play for, say, the best of seven? And why not make each move more difficult than the last? (For example, each new word has to be one letter longer than the previous one). Also, the judge should probably post the words at random intervals, without warning.

How can you shoot somebody three times without killing him? I mean if you can shoot. Well, maybe this is something the participants can decide together. I won't set any rule.
Of course there would be no warning before the judge posts the word. It's just: "Guys, are you ready?" and then after undefined time he posts it. No 5, 2, 1 minute warnings.

The question is, How can someone who is killed continue to play? The answer: it's a game.

type the word (lower case allowed) in Frayling's Something To Do With Death P183 line 3 word 4
Only for those who have it. Not my case. But you're right about the connection speed.

I would settle my long-standing feud Jenkins but recently we've joined forces against the There Will Be Blood fanboys. O0 I'm not sure who else I wish to fight at this moment.

The duel needs three people to be online at the same time and this fits with some duels which were done at a previously agreed time. A Leone or film or book connection might be worth a try e.g.

or
type the first 4 words that Max says in OUATIA DVD2 45:08
You're on to something here.

The idea of a duel is good. Not sure about the implementation. If it's a short word, connection speeds might be the deciding factor. If it's a long word or a short phrase, it might work better. If it's a long phrase someone like me might be copying it into Word changing it into CAPITALS and pasting it back. Perhaps there's other alternative ways of having a duel over the internet?

This is starting to resemble too much the quiz thing, dontcha think?

I see this idea never got anywhere...
