At italian SWDB they say that this is more a movie on a sexual maniac than a western, and partly they are right. But everybody seems to agree that nobody cares as this is one of Kinski most memorable performances. So, if you like Kinski, this is a must. If you don't, I think that the movie earns a 7\10 anyway because it has a good rhythm and, with the story revolving around the crimes of several gangs it never falls into dullness. Kinski is a kind of Harpo Marx, always jumping on the nearest female without any preamble and being most of the time rejected (why, is anybody's guess as most of these targets are bordering on the touchable, Georgelli leading the pack ) with very funny effects. At the same time, though, he is faithful to the title of the movie, a cool blooded killer who has no qualms about killing for the sake of it. This makes him the model on which probably the character of some Milian's poliziotteschi characters was based. Score by Cipriani is good.

I've only ever read about this movie being slated so Titoli's is the first real positive review i've seen.I've only watched this once about 6 months ago,the memory fades, but i'm sure this was better than average with Kinski being on top form.I'll check it out again fairly soon. O0

Watched this film this night and really liked it. Very sad.

Save for Kinski's performance I thought this was pretty average.
Saw it ages ago, so I can't recall many details but I seem to recall the soundtrack being ripped from The Stranger Returns.

Not only The Stranger Returns, also Death Sentence, Man Pride And Vengeance and The Man Who Cried For Revenge.
