Title: Has anyone seen HK flix 'Infernal affairs'?
Post by: klaatu on January 03, 2004, 03:23:38 PM: I've recently seen HK highest ever grossing film 'Infernal affairs' and it's prequel'Inferal affairs 2' I'm not really a HK movie fan though it is one of the best films I've seen in 2003. Great plot,nice acting and directing. It's story about special agent who penatrate underworld society VS mafia informer who acting a cop. I'd like to recommand this movie you guys. I'm sure many of you will enjoy it.

Sounds great! Scorses would be excellent choice.

Yes there are 3 parts. My favorite is Part 2.

I can only recommend it to your all.

Have not yet seen part 2 and 3, but the reviews I have read suggest that they can not live up to the original. Part 2 is a prequal, by the way.

I agree with you. Tony Leung is truly a great actor.
Other than his works with Wong Kar-wai, take look at ones with Hou Hsiao-hsien, Yimou Zhang and Tran Anh Hung.

Speaking of remake, my guess would be Dicarprio playing Tony Leung's part because I think Damon fits better in evil character.
