Title: Carambola (1973)

They found two Hill-Spencer clone and set up a rip off. The Spencer clone even works a bit, though not quite good as the real Bud (hey, they named a beer after him!). But the story revolving around a new model of revolver which the american (confederate!) army doesn't want to be copied is weak and thrives only on some mass fist fights which cannot equal those of the original movies. I never laughed or even smile. The score is good, though unmemorable. 5\10

Only viewed this once but i thought it was very watchable though i think alot of it may be to do with the extremely catchy theme tune.I'm sure a few bits of it made me smile but there's nothing to match the hilarity of the real Trinty films, and i don't remember any acrobatics from the Hill clone.I like it enough to want to see the sequel. 6/12

Yes. I don't actually know what the title means though?

It's being regularly screened on the UK Movies4men sattelite channel.

Don't suppose you've seen the sequel Titoli or any of the other Hill/Spencer rip-offs made with Coby and Smith?

Yes. I don't actually know what the title means though?

Carambola:
1. An ornamental evergreen tree (Averrhoa carambola), native to southeast Asia and having crisp, edible, yellow to orange, longitudinally ridged fruits that are star-shaped in cross section.
2. The fruit of this plant. Also called star fruit.

Not certain what that has to do with the film though.
