The first Castellari western is not a great movie but it based entirely on a relentless pace which makes the movie never boring. The first scene is very good and typically outrageously spaghetti. Based on a conflict between cattle barons-homesteaders in Montana it has Steffen, a bounty killer on the search for an outlaw who stole $ 100.000, become soon a sheriff after having found the real officer killed by the barons' gang. Steffen is as wooden as usual, but Wolff is very good. I don't think much of the score by Savina. 6\10

Ha ha, a western about a  cattle war without any cattle.

First scene is good, the rest is unimaginatively directed ordinary stuff. Castellari was a lousy western director from the beginning on, the western was simply not his terrain.

3/10

And pastures. But there's a lot of barbed wire.
