Title: Killer Kid (1967)
Post by: titoli on March 28, 2009, 09:09:19 PM

What a title for a zapata western! The movie has Steffen as officer of the US Army assuming the identity of an outlaw, KK, to stop the weapons trafficking to mexican revolutionaries. He infiltrates a peones band led by El Santo, a rich man buying  the weapon  for the revolution aided by second-in-chief Sancho. Steffen will end up siding with the peones. The movie does have many intuitions which are not developed, like Steffen initial attitude toward peones and Sancho's untrustworthiness. As it is  it has some good scene, but mostly drags and drags. 4\10.

I feel that it's kinda draggy the first two thirds but the final act with the big battle is well worth the wait.

Also of interest is the rocky terrain surrounded by water during an early fist fight.
Hadn't ever seen that location before.

Apocalypse Joe is a better collaboration between Steffen and Savona.
