Title: The Appaloosa (1966)
Post by: Dust Devil on March 17, 2010, 02:53:37 AM

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0060120/

Some call this a minor masterpiece but I don't buy it - it's boring as Hell. This is like watering the whole pasturage with one bucket of water: Brando, however great he may be, just isn't enough. John Saxon's fun to watch, though.

5 (maybe 6) out of 10

This one is Brando's second best Western (best is Zapata) One Eyed Jacks is too overindulgent, Missouri Breaks is too quirky, Its got a few great sequences like the pulque drinking contest, I'd own it if it was out on DVD.

In the italian version it was tequila. But, yeah, I saw this movie at the cinema (and later on tv) and that it's the only part I remember.
