Title: Stagecoach (1986)
Post by: Dust Devil on July 13, 2010, 01:25:26 PM

Made for television remake of John Ford's 1939 classic. Directed by Ted Post, and starring a trio of famous musicians: Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson.

Only a shadow of the original, I'm afraid. Not much happens aside of talking until the very end, not much time nor energy is dedicated to the building of the tension between the folks in the stagecoach and the Apache Indians, and when the Indians do attack it is carried out laughably bad (it ends in about 35 seconds, lol). If those famous guys weren't involved in the project this wouldn't deserve more than a 3, IMVHO. It won't kill you if you watch it, but a fiver is as high as it gets in my book.
