Sergio Leone News / LEONE ON UK TV 2/22/04
« on: November 02, 2004, 05:02:20 PM »
I was just looking at the tv listings tonight and reading about the film "An Almost Perfect Affair" and it said it has a guest appearance by SL. It is set at the Cannes film festival and made in 1979.
I wish i could have given more notice (it is less than an hour before the movie starts) but i only just found out about it.
I am going to set my video now.

Actually the music for Sabata was by Marcello Giombini.
It was a catchy theme though agreed.

I love Repulsion and Tess of the D'ubervilles. The Tenant, Dance of the Vampires, cul De sac, Knife in the Water are also ver good. There is a nice DVD box set of Cul De Sac, Knife and i think Repulsion. I have'nt got it yet but it is on my wants list.

Also you can see the details in the background much clearer, for example the interiors of the missionary and the prison camp.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / more cut scenes in GBU
« on: May 09, 2004, 02:58:47 PM »
On the restoration feature on the DVD there is a photo of LVC with CE who is lying on the ground. Does anyone have anymore info on this scene. I guess it comes after they have left the prison camp and before the scene where LVC'S gang members join them. The same photo is on the GBU stills page on sergioleone.net
The scene where Tuco fires a Cannon at Blondie i think comes after Blondie has fired his cannon the first time and before the second firing. It could not be after as Tuco rolls back from the impact against a gravestone and the Ecstasy of Gold theme starts.

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re:GBU Special Edition DVD Review

Just got my copy today and had a quick look at a couple of the extras. I loved the bit on the french trailer when tuco fires the cannon and it collapses. Brilliant. Tuco is foiled again. I had a couple of stills of this scene and wondered how it looked. Does anyone know how it would fit in to the film as when blondie fires the cannon at tuco the ecstasy of gold theme starts as tuco is on the ground.
I thought the extended tuco torture scene looked okay on my tv as well apart from a couple of slight hiccups.
