According to the review in the link, this DVD contains a 150 minute version of the film, which means that the extended flashback scene at the end is NOT included (the 150 minute version of the film I've seen has only the shorter flashback).
The new SE DOES contain the 3 min. long flashback at the end! Just saw it as it was released in Denmark the 6th of April - along with FAFDM!

I would suggest play.com and cd-wow.comBoth can supply you with region 1 and region 2 at fairly cheap prices.

You fogot "Shane", guys!
This piece of has a much deeper meaning than it first appear to have. Apparently, Shane (Allan Lad) could be a man from beyond this world (an angel?) or perhaps he is already dead? And do not forget the the famous framing of Shane between a dear''s leg in the opening scene.

OUATITW! Leone really shows of his skills with this tour-de-fource of how to use the "scope". And of the music, acting, cinematography and everything else is superb in this film. GBU and OUATIA is very close, though...

I have read the superb Leone book "Something to do with death" by Chris Frayling. And his analyses of Leone's films in the book is very elaborate and very interesting. But you miss seing the films with Frayling commenting. Well, this is what will get in April.
(Not for GBU and OATIA, obviously...)
And the new SE's is already available for preorder at play. DAMN....

Yep, I know for a fact that Frayling recorded the commentary for DUCK YOU SUCKER.
(Not sure about the other two, though.)
Thank you, Concorde.

Isn't Tonino Delli Colli interviewed on the "Once apon a time in the west" SE? I think he is, and he is quite a symphatic caracter.
Well deserved, indeed.

If There's really going to be a new edition of The Good The Bad and The Ugly? I Hope they put a new commentary track on there. Schickle was okay, He wasn't as great as the film is. If MGM puts another commentary track on GBU, They should put Sir Christopher Frayling or Roger Ebert or bunch other film critics or film historians. I think It would be really awesome if Quentin Tarantino did a commentary track for GBU. I can imagining hearing him praising Leone and the film, and telling the listener how the film influence his filmmaking.
I think you mixed it together. Chris Frayling did commentary on "Once upon a time in the west" and Richard Schickle did one on "The good, the bad & the ugly. I do not think there will be a new SE of GBU with Frayling commentary. As interesting Frayling is to listen at, why re-release it? That brings up another point: Why did Frayling only do the commentary on "West", and not OATIA or GBU? Anyone?

Yes, finally these film gets a proper dvd release.
Really looking forward to the (supposely) audio commentaries. The Schickle job on GBU was fairly good, but not anything like the superb commentary on OAATITW by Chris Frayling. Just sad that frayling is interrupted by others - namely Alex Cox!
PS. Every Leone fan should read the superb Leone biography "Something to do with death" by Christopher Frayling!
