For a Few Dollars More / Makeup Or Continuity Error?
« on: June 15, 2013, 09:15:13 PM »
I've been wondering for a long time now about the scene near the end where Manco breaks in to steal the gold and gets caught.

When we see him right after getting in through the roof he's wearing dark makeup.
However when Mortimer lights the room his dark makeup is gone.

Has it ever been discussed whether this was a makeup blunder meaning we weren't suppose to notice it or a continuity error where he should've had it on when the lights came on?

My guess is we shouldn't have noticed it.

General Discussion / Leone vs Corbucci
« on: June 14, 2013, 09:00:59 PM »
I'm sure this has been discussed here already and some may find comparing the two wrong but on a few other forums I come across people who think Corbucci is a better filmmaker.

While Corbucci is great I don't think he's in league with Leone.
Leone's Westerns are like opera where there seems to be no false notes.
I don't get that from Corbucci.

I've brought up the fact that FISTFUL was the first SW as we know them today and while Corbucci made a Western before him it took FOD to inspire other words Corbucci films before were more of an American

Has Corbucci ever talked about Leone?
I would love to hear anyones take on these two fimmakers

Other Films / The Gothic Western
« on: June 07, 2012, 10:05:42 AM »
I'm a fan of Gothic Euro-Horror and of course SW's

I'm wondering what what films would fall under the sub-genre of Gothic Westerns?

Can anyone add to this list?

Does anyone else smoke a cigar as they watch their favourite Leone film?
