First of all, I doubt someone of 44 years of age would type in all caps, I see you don't have a job that involves typing.
Second, there is no metaphor, it is there clear as day.
I also don't remember Metaphor Detecting 101, I'll really have to re-visit. ;)

i rest my case...this guy is just plain whacked...and i would have been nice had he retracted his rediculous statement to begin with, but this, this is just plain provocation and i could put my friend here in his place but for the sake of these boards I think Ill Just go away, It's too bad , cause this post was fantastic but when this guy tells me The Single Greatest "Hidden Meaning" Scene in any Leone Movie has No Hidden Meaning I haugh to laugh and turn the other cheek...Hit me again Big Guy!!!

You Have No Clue But you sure are Tough On The Leone Board!!!

LMFAO !!!
Unbelievable!!!

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re: Eastwood vs. Bronson
« on: August 22, 2006, 05:01:18 PM »
The rumors about clint eastwood being offered the part of harmonica in once upon a time in the west, has been circulating for a long time. I think both Eastwood and Bronson, buth they're also playing two very different characters. I'm glad Eastwood didin't get the part!

well said...
{nothing against Mr. Eastwood}
But...
just damn well said... !!!

I bought it for 6$ at a Best Buy.

TAKE GOOD CARE, THE WAY THEY PACKED IT SUCKS AND YOU HAVE BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH EITHER OF THE DISCS.

I SUGGEST A LITTLE REPLICATION OF THE INFORMATION FOR YOUR CRANIALMEDITATION!!!

Groggy's right, he says Mortons not mortals.

But i do agree with Thurgood, I think Bronson's character is some kind of ghost or anvenging angel.

there's plenty of evidence suggesting he is.

YOU GUYS COULD BE RIGHT...EVEN ARE RIGHT...BUT WHEN I WATCH IT BUZZED...I CAN SWEAR HE SAYS "OTHER MORTALS" AND NOT "OTHER MORTONS"

I GUESS IT'S SUBLIMINAL

TO ME

BRONSON IS AN IMORTAL!!!
FONDA AS WELL!!!
AND AFTER SEEING THIS, I GUESS I NEVER REALIZED GROWING UP THROUGH ALL THEM MOVIES 44 YEARS NOW THAT JASON ROBARDS HAS TO BE PUT IN THAT CLUB AS WELL FOR THIS! THE GUY WAS IN SO MANY MOVIES I SAW, BUT I NEVER TOOK BIG NOTICE OF HIM TILL I SAW HIM IN THIS 19 TIMES NOW!!!

I really really really, do not see anything hidden about that. Even happens to Noodles in the bathroom scene, even though he's in love with a girl.

I have a hidden meaning, about John Malory being a metaphor for christ in Duck, You Sucker. How he guides Juan and helps him out. Also in the end when he "leaves", Juan says "What will I do now?". Seems that he represents a disciple. You can also say that John's dynamite is a sort of miracle, but I may be pushing it too far.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE A HIDDEN MEANING IN A SCENE WHERE A LITTLE 10 YEAR OLD BOY DECIDES THE PASTRY HE HAS BRAUGHT TO HER FOR HER TO EAT...IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE WHORE FOR HIM TO EAT...THEN I THINK YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL, PERSONALY, I AM 44 AND I GUESS IN MY CASE, BEING INFINITELY SMARTER THAN SOMEONE ELSE, HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH AGE, CASUE I AM AN IDIOT AND EVEN I SAW THE MASSIVE HIDDEN MEANING IN THAT SCENE!!!

IT'S HUGE...IT IS A METAPHOR, WRAPPED IN A ENIGMA AND COVERED IN MYSTERY AND AS A BONUS, THE MUSIC LEONE USED REFLECTS THAT EXACT POINT.

THANKS FOR SLAMMING ME EVIDENTLY FOR SOMETHING YOU GOT WRONG!!!!

near the end of the movie, anyone but me notice Bronson says..."Other Mortals Will Come Along And Destroy It"?

at first I did a double take thinking he says dry rott boys name...but no...it's not "Mr. Choo Choo" it's..."other MORTALS" that Bronson says...

Suggesting he himself is other worldly, and in the movie, you can say he kinda is!!!

LEONE WA S A FRIKKIN MASTER !!!!!

why did Frank wanna spend his time watching Mortimer's Dry Rott raise up higher and higher to begin with anyways...?

Seems to me he could have made "a killin'" without the dead weight altogether!!!

LOL.

There are many hidden meanings underlining Leone's films. One of them Firecracker mentioned was that Clint seems invincible when he wears his poncho but when he is without it he falls victim to beatings, etc.

Anyone else thought of any hidden meanings in the films of Sergio Leone?

ONE OF MY FAVORITE "HIDDEN MEANING MOMENTS" OF ANY LEONE FILM HAPPENS IN "ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA" WHEN THE LITTLE BOY WANTS TO HAVE SOME SEX- SO - HAVING FOUND OUT HOW CRAZY THE LOCAL WHORE IS FOR TARTS - HE GOES TO NODDLES' FRIEND'S FATHER'S BAKERY AND BUYS A TART TO BRING TO HER. HE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND HER MOTHER IS GIVING HER A BATH AND SHE MAKES HIM WAIT OUTSIDE IN THE APT. BUILDING STAIRWAY. WHILE WAITING, HE TELLS HIMSELF HE'LL JUST EAT A LITTLE BIT OFF THE TOP, AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT HE'S EATEN THE ENTIRE THING AND WHEN THE WHORE COMES OUT TO SEE WHAT HE WANTS...HE RUNS AWAY...

HUGE HIDDEN MEANING IN THIS....

IT'S ABOUT ADOLESCENCE AND HOW LITTLE BOYS ARE LEAD BY THE WRONG HEAD.

HAHAHAHAHA

BEAT THAT!!!
