A Fistful of Dollars / Re: Small House
« on: July 26, 2007, 02:55:29 PM »
There's a rather large church about a mile away from my house. On some occasions I can hear the bell ringing.

I'm sure the little house isn't a mile away.
Thank you sir.

Gunshots can be heard for miles.
Yea...but can the bell be heard for miles as well?

I've always kinda wondered that one too. In the very beginning,Joes' standing at the well,drinking...and the crazy bell ringer starts doing his "job"...and Joe is able to hear it,because it gets his attention. So...assuming that the bell is in town,it musn't be very far from the small house...right?

HAHA, Oh I'm sorry. Yes, you're right, that's my mistake. Thanks Jeepman. I ment Manco.
Not a problem,sir....just trying to make sense of it myself.

No, Blondie won't do the dirty work.
No,my question was...this thread is in "For A Few Dollars More," and you're calling him Blondie, and the coffin maker was brought up,suggesting that it was "A Fistful Of Dollars." Just trying to make sense of which movie you all are referring too. Manco...right? ???

I'm sure after Blondie collects the rewards for every single bandit he rounded up at the end, they'll just dig a huge hole and throw them all in.  ;D
Blondie?! ???

It stabilizes the wrist for less gun recoil, and a more accurate shot.

The way that Blondie and Tuco "fed" off each other...it's an easy tie. One wouldn't have been as good without the other,in my opinion. Angeleyes comes in at a cool third. ;)

In the very same scene, right after the "hat game" scene,Mortimer says to Manco..."Alright...I'll be generous. You can have the reward for Indio, and I'll take the reward for the rest of the band." So...that implies that Mortimer had some interest in a reward.

The dustbowl has long vanished when Eastwood is visible to Ramon's gang (and so the reverse, also):

You're right...I stand corrected.

No, I prefer Fistful of the 3. To each his own, and again, welcome to the board!
Great choice...and,thanks again for the welcome.

14
So, one of the 3 doesn't stand out from the pack?
If I had to choose one as a stand out...The Good,The Bad And The Ugly would have to be the one. Why? Because it's more of an "epic" than the other two.

So, Jeepster, whats your #1 Leone and your #1 'stern?
Well...I'm a huge fan of the "Man With No Name" series, and have been since I was very young,so those 3 are my favorites. Sentimental reasons,I guess.
