Now then hombres and senoras_______
Have had a very successful preview of my recent drawings in Liverpool last Thursday evening.
Please check out my facebook page (and "Like" it if you please) for a few shots of the show and some close-ups of some of the pieces on display:

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.509460202446525.1073741825.152728628119686&type=1

Also, check out my blog:

http://somethingtodowithdeath.tumblr.com/

ps I am a painter not a photographer so I apologise in advance for lens distortion (but I hope I have successfully communicated the atmosphere in the space...Just imagine Philip Glass, Morricone and Popol Vuh floating around and you're almost there!)

For any interested in attending the show:
It runs Thurs-Sun 11am-6pm until Sunday June 9th 2013.
Further details here:

PLENTY TO LOOK AT, ESPECIALLY FOR FANS OF FAFDM!!!

Muchas gracias!
Yours,
Chuncho

Had a quick look at your FB page Joe....
Some beautiful photography on there (I especially like the sweeping epic American landscapes!)
Have you a Flickr profile perchance?
I also love the Diners; makes me think of David Lynch (they need a Badalamenti soundtrack imo  O0)

Hombres and Senoras______

I would like to humbly request if as many of you who like my paintings and drawings would consider "liking" my 2 facebook pages to help me get a bit more exposure and more "likes". I have posted the links to both pages at the bottom of this post.

I have followers of my practice stretching from the UK across the pond to The States, over to India and even someone who runs a ranch in Costa Rica! Pretty much everywhere in between as well, but both pages seem to have stalled around the 60-followers mark.

I admit I myself am something of a facebook-skeptic but it, like Twitter, is a useful and generally toll-free way of reaching and expanding an audience (which an artist, of course, relies on)

Also if any of you happen to be bloggers, perhaps you could follow mine? The link of which can also be found below.
Again this will help me reach as many people as possible.

I have my first solo exhibition coming up in Liverpool starting May 10th so I'd like as many people as possible to be aware of it, and to attend.

Muchas gracias in advance to anyone who can help me with this.

Hasta luego...Amigos and Amigas!

I absolutely LOVE Peckinpah's "Pat Garrett"...and the soundtrack only adds to it.
For me, the death scene with Slim Pickens and Katy Jurado is a powerhouse moment in cinema and again the Dylan song is a perfect accompaniment.....

What the hell, I'm off work with a bad back I'm off to fire it up now!

no, we gotta have a celebratory McSorley's Ale in McSorley's Old Ale House  http://www.mcsorleysnewyork.com/ that's the pub in OUATIA in which the kids choose to roll the drunk instead of take the dollar (even though the dollar could have gotten them 10 hot corned beef sandwiches on poppy seed rolls).

i went there with cigar joe and dave jenkins. Their beer is real good

Heh heh sounds even better! If I make it out there you need to drag Joe and Jenkins out.

if you come to New York, I'll be there  ;)

Cheers, that would be the dream!
Went to New York in 97, and am long overdue a revisit.
If I get there I'll stand ye a celebratory Guiness in Milanos bar! O0

I know I should be ashamed to ask, but what are and where from, are the pieces of music on your website...I recall the FAFDM but where are the others from?

It is a Hauntingly beautiful montage of Ennio's

ICE

The songs are from FAFDM and also a film called "The Great Silence".
The tracks are called "Il Grande Silenzio" and "Invito all amore".
Hauntingly beautiful indeed!

For a Few Dollars More / Re: El Indio used to be good?
« on: February 28, 2013, 12:14:44 AM »
No. Indio be bad.

Although it's possibly this event with Mortimer's sister which turns him into the pot-smoking fetishist serial killer we know.

We see him tortured and haunted by the memory, crippled by regret and self-hatred and (I've always thought) a resulting deathwish.

Perhaps he was a mere cattle rustler, horse thief or cardsharp before? But a good husband? I can't see it.
