Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Flags of Our Fathers (2006)
« on: October 24, 2006, 09:08:43 AM »
I just saw it today. Luckily, I didn't notice that. In my opinion, this is the best film Eastwood has ever made. I was anxious to see how Japanese are portrayed in this film, but curiously enough, they are almosst invisible.

Well, in Feb 2007, you'll see the second movie from Eastwood from the Japanese side.

I too really like 'The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing' as his best
western venture, and '100 Rifles' for humor.

But seriously, I tend to struggle between 'Sharky's Machine'
and 'Gator' as favorite all around.

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re: BEST SCENE?

I am always on my knees, nose to the TV when after the
McBain shooting, Frank and his mans get out one by one
from the bushes, chills, chills.
That was the scene I remembered that always stuck with
me after I first saw it.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Walter Hill's Movies
« on: April 11, 2005, 05:36:57 PM »
Hi Guys, been a while.

I like Walter Hill movies when they are his original stories.
I saw The Warriors a long time ago, I was tripping on the
movie poster alone  :) . I craved The Driver. Love The Long
Riders, and Streets of Fire(mind-bogling setting).
But when he does a 'remake' of Peckinpaw,  I don't like.
Extreme Prejudice(Wild Bunch remake).

I can't stand Another 48 Hrs. and Last Man Standing.

You were lucky to have both movies as a double bill.
I like both of these movies, Death Hunt since I'm in Canada,
but White Buffalo really stuck with me cause of the crazy/
heavy atmosphere  throughout the film & surprising cast.

I particuly like some of the music pieces like the ending
one, like to know if it is available on the market.

Well, I haven't been here in a while  :)
I really love the end of the Deer Hunter,
and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot.

Welcome  :)
As you say, your inspiration from these films should let
you to dub the voices afterwords.
As a disclamer, I must say that I have no experience
in the film industry whatsoever  ;D

Hi guys
I like it. With the second episode showed, some lose
ends and character traits are defined now. I really
like everything I saw up to now.
The Doc's cabin is mindblowing in details.
