Not Leone, but keeping within the spirit of your post :-

''The Outlaw Martin Luther''

which he effectively was at the behest of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor.

On a lighter note :-

''Monk, you sucker!''

Best of luck with your project!

My vote for best-looking female in a SW goes to
Gina Lollobrigida (Badman's River ). If restricted to Leone's, vote would go to the 'dreamy' female - in more ways than one - in FODy.

Merry Xmas to all!

Assuming the 'welcoming party' lined up similar style to when Manco rode in, the Col would have shot their sombreros off their heads knowing he would have been out of their range. They were sure to disperse as a result, psych battle won by Col!

Trivia Games / People on Which SW Characters Are Based
« on: November 16, 2005, 10:02:36 AM »
At the risk of being accused of self-indulgence, I found out shortly after joining this forum that Face To Face's Charlie Siringo was based on a real person (this may be well-known already, esp by those from USA - I'm from UK!)

I was wondering how many other characters are based on people who actually lived in the Wild West.

Over to you guys!
Charlie

PS If anyone's interested..........

Smoker, thanks for your reply! IYHO if the orig Q was changed slightly to ''who contributed to the most SWs?'' might Benito have won?

Charlie

Hi Christopher,

It was my thread, although Q asked ''who was in most SWs?'' rather than Leone films. I rec'd 2 good As with
Fernando Sancho's 48 the target, closely followed by Benito Stefanelli (unspecified).

Charlie

A major problem is that some of the characters have been played by more than one actor and, in some cases, there is little similarity other than the name.

Speeded up film.......next you'll be telling me some actors in SWs have their voices dubbed LOL!!!

My $ on Nobody, although I'm praying he'll engage Clint in a drinking contest first - we know how good Nobody is in this respect!

Sadly, Horst died 2 or 3 years ago. Only one left is Robert Vaughn.

Thanks again Hex! Sorry for shooting at you twice, but had to nom WB on other thread, seeing as I'm named after one of his best.

Re Aldo S, 'fraid I couldn't resist the pun on  ''where's Waldo?'' earlier!

Hope I'm not the only one to vote for both!

Regards

I realise it's a bit of fun, of course, and that not everyone can be inc amongst the choices, but surely William Berger should have been one of them!

Obviously I'm biased, but the number of SWs he's appeared in, usually in a starring role, certainly dwarf those of 1 or 2 of the nominees. I also feel his range of characters was greater than most as well.

Ice, although Indio hoped that Manco & Col. would kill off most/all of gang, I'm sure he'd have expected his 7 men to have killed at least one of them - hence the surprise when Manco appears!
