This is the best film that ive seen this year ....with Eastern Promises at a close second! My only complaint was in the CG blood on a couple of scenes, but otherwise IMO .... it is the BEST Coen Bros. film!

Anyone ever read the novel? Im just wondering how much of the dialogue was McCarthy's or Coen's.

Thanks Amigos!
The funny thing about writing this short was that I wanted to translate what I had written into German, but I dont know any Germans in this area. I brought this up to my friend Dylan who is in my film and he just picked up the script and started translating it right off!  It turns out that he lived in Germany as a child and is fluent in the language, so he was my German linguist on set.
I thought it would be interesting to shoot an American Western in German and Spanish with English subtitles.

You should contact the Gouldings Lodge ... surely they know someone whom you could contact.
It would be nice to get Alex Cox or some other "name" to cause some buzzzz

Watching the scene now ...... She walks down the steps in this version as the credits come up, but no bouncing ball.
The transfer is outstanding though ...

I just picked up the Mario Bava Box set last week, and they did a fantastic job with the transfers. I do have a question for The Firecracker ..... which scenes were missing from the "Kill Baby Kill" image dvd release? I'll check the disc as soon as you respond.

"Kill baby Kill is my favorite Bava film".... along with "Danger Diabolik"

*Spoiler Alert!*

The scar is in the second story, so Dawsons kick doesnt cause the scar, but the theory still makes sense .... He doesnt want any reprecussions from any of the victims, so the plan is to obliterate them without any survivors.
Makes perfect sense.

I met up with the Hobo team last month when they arrived in Texas and brought them to a shooting range ... we blasted shotguns for a couple of hours.
They definitely deserved the win .... if ya'll are familiar with a Canadian tv series called "Trailer Park Boys", you might recognize some of the actors from the Hobo trailer. The Assistant Director from the tv series worked on the trailer and actually stole squib pack from the tv series!

My next project will be a short "Giallo" entitled "The Woman With Eyes of Glass" and we are trying to get Mark Damon to work on the film ... I am sending him a treatment of the script next montth, so .. heres hoping.......

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re: Morton's music theme

Is there a release of OUATITW with Mortons theme intact? I love his theme song, but unfortunately both the cd and vinyl I have are sorely missing his song.

No ... I was definitely in the film. I get taken down by two zombies as Wray walks back into the hospital to rescue Cherry .... I get dropped to the ground right afterwards.

Off-Topic Discussion / RIP Bob Clark ......
« on: April 04, 2007, 10:09:45 PM »

Bob Clark waved his fist at respectability and chose the path of true entertainment. His dynamic filmmaking encompassed everything from beloved family features like A CHRISTMAS STORY to dick-in-the-wall masterpiece PORKY'S. He was also responsible for horror standards as untouchable as CHILDREN SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH DEAD THINGS, the vastly underappreciated DEATHDREAM and the original BLACK CHRISTMAS. Though not everyone stood behind his later work like BABY GENIUSES 2: SUPERBABIES, it displayed a level of recognizable innovation that was consistent throughout his varied career.

Though he was primarily regarded as a director, he also wrote and produced several of his films, and even stripped down to his nothin's for a eyebrow-raising scene in PORKY'S 2. Clark was a professional without being a boring adult, and for that, we salute him.

Bob Clark, 67, and his 22-year-old son Ariel were killed by a drunk driver late last night. The offending motorist was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries. Please, if you really must drink and drive, kindly run into a tree and spare the world this type of tragedy.
