Here is a cut and edited out scene I reconstructed. In the movie as shown, after Tuco tries to get away from Blondie on horseback, we see Blondie touch off a cannon with his cigar (note: no ram rod in this first shot), after the blast lands, Tuco falls off his horse, gets up looks around and runs away. Next we see Blondie with his head/hat bowed with ram rod in hand and off goes another cannon blast. Tuco now running away (towards camera) dives and rolls as blast hits the ground and end up next to the grave stone. In the special edition DVD there is a cut scene of Tuco and a cannon which misfires and falls apart and a black and white still shot showing this. This montage is cut and spiced together as I believe the action happened. (Below edited after further review of all replies) The scene as shot should have been seen like this ... Blondie sees Tuco escaping on horseback, Blondie finds a loaded cannon and fires off his first shot, the shot hits close to Tuco and he lands on the ground near an intact cannon, he gets up and in a frenzy tries to load the cannon (Blondie is also reloading his cannon) Tuco fires the cannon back at Blondie, however the cannon misfires and falls apart. Blondie seeing this has his head bowed as a reaction to Tuco's cannon blast. Blondie having already reloaded his cannon, evidenced by the fact that he now has the ram rod in hand, gets off his 2nd shot after his reload, Tuco now turns to get away (also note the smoke around after Tuco's misfire), ends up running towards camera diving and rolling as the blast hits the ground and ends up on the grave stone. You will note the destroyed cannon as evidenced by the cannon's wheel seen between the trees and also note Blondies cannon firing in the background. So in the movie as released in whatever format we never get to see Tuco's cannon retaliation shot in sequence....until now! updated April 2016, imageshack images now invalid so I uploaded the entire finished sequence below including the discussions and added images click links for image (many sites uploaded to, some might still work?) http://imgur.com/Nsjcgv3https://i.imgur.com/nrPjDgq.jpghttps://postimg.cc/image/c9ksgjatn/https://s33.postimg.cc/v1wnk477x/cannon.jpg

Just obtained the newest/latest GBU special edition and as stated on the French trailer, there are different shooting angles and I noticed Blondies shovel throw. The original is on the left, the outtake(french) is on the right. When you watch the outtake the shovel sticks in the ground but the handle slams down on Eli Wallach's hand and he grimaces and lets out a yell! Also this version/angle does not show Blondie's shadow creeping up on Tuco. I think the shadow version is much better!...so cool to see this rare footage included in the disc #2

Angel Eyes was not very smart in the shootout! It looks as if he was on the short sides of an almost "A-squared" + "B-squared"= C-squared triangle. Blondie and Tuco did not have to worry about shooting at each other, they were too far away so they both concentrated on Angel Eyes. Angel Eyes should have spaced himself equally to have a chance!

Several years ago while in Atlantic City NJ, Lennox Lewis was fighing and he walked into the ring with this version of the theme loudly playing, it was great I had to get a copy. I searched until I finally found it. It''s on "Sly and Robbie" "Mambo Taxi" CD. I''ve uploaded it to a free hosting site. Click the link if active or copy and paste it into a new window. You will get to a site and half way down below the line you will see a "Download Ticket reserved timer", wait until it gets to zero, then up will pop "DOWNLOAD:GoodBadandtheUgly.wma" click on this to play or right click to save! p.s. is slightly over 2MB large so your download may be slow depending on your internet connection. http://rapidshare.de/files-en/299773/GoodBadandtheUgly.wma.html

When Tuco is searching for ARCH STANTON''s grave site he passes it early in his search when he reaches the middle of the circle. To see this you need to know the layout of 3 graves. UNKNOWN is in the middle, to it''s right is ARCH STANTON''s grave (with the tree behind it) and to the left of UNKNOWN is "FOSTER, JOHN"(to the left of the white gravestone). To the right of all 3 is a tall large stone obelisque. When Tuco passes this site while searching you will notice (see the top picture) that the "thin" UNKNOWN cross is pulled out of the ground and laying partially down to the right of the tree, not in the middle, and that one of the 2 coffin lids is propped up blocking out some of the sites view. FOSTER, JOHN is in it''s place but ARCH STANTON''s is missing. One of two thing during filming occured. 1) the gold digging grave scene site was NOT set-up yet while Tuco is searching (meaning the UNKNOWN cross was not put in its place and the coffins not covered yet) or 2) it was filmed after the grave digging, and shootout, but before Tuco was placed on the UNKNOWN cross after the shootout. Why, the cross was changed, made bigger, thicker, stronger, so Tuco could stand on it! You have to watch some of this on your computer and view the specific scenes frame by frame. Please review and let me know what you guys think!
