Do you know other examples about great and long associations between filmakers and musicians?

For example
- Leone/Morricone (obviously)
- Spielberg/Williams
- Herzog/Popol Vuh
- Tim Burton/Danny Elfman

Once Upon A Time In America / De Niro's best acting role?
« on: February 17, 2003, 01:35:15 PM »
Just saw "Taxi Driver" and "Raging Bull" today on DVD. Considered De Niro's best acting roles....

I'm even more convinced OUTA was his best acting role ever...

Hello Folks. A little question for you all:

What would have been Leone's film without Morricone's scores???

Once Upon A Time In The West / Back to the future III
« on: February 10, 2003, 01:50:28 PM »
Been seeing OUTW today. The scene of Jill's arrival at Sweetwater, by train. With Morricone's music in background, Jill enters to the station and talks to a guard, and then the camera goes up, above the roof and shows us the rest of the village.

Have you noticed that Robert Zemeckis did the same thing for Back to the future III, the "western" one? (and I don't even talk about the fact that Michael J. Fox calls himself "Clint Eastwood" and that he wears his poncho).

Sergio Leone News / Giu la Testa DVD release
« on: February 08, 2003, 11:24:57 AM »
Hello everyone. I recently saw at Paris the release of Giu la Testa DVD. It is an italian production and the problem is that italian is the only possible language, so you don't have the original language of the movie, and also there are no subtitles at all, in any language.

I have hesitate longtime if I would buy the dvd or not, and I decided not to buy it finally, but I know there are still some DVD at the FNAC at Paris.
