1  General Information / General Discussion / Re:Missing the Leone "touch", fatal flaws in Clints American westerns on: February 16, 2003, 01:00:17 AM
greetings joe,
I cant' get into specifics just now as  i  haven't done any research yet, but off the top of my head, i will say that  High Plains Drifter delivers a powerfull punch . I especially take note of the general mood of tension and dread sustained throughout and the exploration of the themes of responsibility and retribution. I am looking forward to your comments. Thanks
2  General Information / General Discussion / Van Cleef's right hand on: February 16, 2003, 12:18:33 AM
hello spagetti-lovers,
i am new to this board but have been a leone fan since the sixties when i first saw GBU. having recently viewed this film again, i noticed that Van Cleef is missing the end of the middle finger of his right hand. does anyone know the story behind this ? just think how fortunate he and we are that it is only his middle finger and not his trigger finger ! thanks in advance for any replies
