1  Films of Sergio Leone / Duck, You Sucker / Re: duck you sucker comic book adaptation on: November 01, 2007, 02:28:05 PM
ha!!!I wished I got that assignment as well!! love the dollars trilogy as well( perhaps I should start an adaptation of my own) too bad I wasn't aware there was such a project coming up, I would've certainly submitted my work to dynamite for they're consideration!
by the way cigar Joe, I am a professional cartoonist and comic book artist, just not very well known in the US market, you can check my other work in the blog.
thanks everyone for your support, more pages coming up!!

no luck with the man with no name comics!! Cry didn't wanna do it  anyway  Roll Eyes! they're not allowed to use clint likeness in the comic, can't understand why, they're licensed by mgm  Embarrassed
2  Films of Sergio Leone / A Fistful of Dollars / Re: YOJIMBO VS. FFOD on: October 30, 2007, 10:35:36 AM
I love both but Leone is my favorite director an morricone is my favorite composer so I must say that I watch ffod more often than yojimbo
millers crossing is pretty close to both ffod and yojimbo but last man standing is obviously an intentional  remake ,changing the set from samurai and cowboys to gangsters.
another film heavily influenced by both yojimbo and ffod is James bond's  1989 licence to kill

Looks really good! Afro Afro Afro

Is this a work in progress? Will there be other parts, until you've covered the whole film?

oh yeah!! it is a personal work I do this for myself and to share with Leone's fans , so I'll try to post every page but there's a lot of them!!
I 've included page 28 and 30 because there are nice close ups of Mallory
and I do intend to adapt the whole movie yeah, don't know how many pages that will take me !
I've also adapted the latest bond film casino royale and that one took me 135 pages.
and I do this between jobs !!

I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.

Being a big fan of comic books, I think you're doing a wonderful job. Please, please, please continue... and by any chance do you plan on adding the script to it?

hey!! thanks a lot!!!
i've been very influenced by giraud's blueberry ,so I tried to do sergio's classic in a that western comic style
I'd love to include the captions but I'm afraid I'm not very good letterer, I'm very keen on coloring it but sadly I don't have much time

7  Films of Sergio Leone / Duck, You Sucker / Re:Will US Region DVD Version Be Released? on: May 22, 2006, 11:46:27 AM
then why would sony buy mgm if they are not interested in old movies¡!¿ just to own james bond
I gonna get me the region 2
It's from an event that happened regarding restoration of Witchfinder General. Apparently after this gentleman participated in the restoration of it he was told that it would never be released and that they won't release DVD's of films over 10 + . I do wonder if that's change now after some stink was kicked up about it.  Sony's restoration dept is much smaller then MGM's. I still worry that we may never see the R1 releases (unless they just plunk them on Blue Ray which would see like the most believable option)
