76  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / It's a great book on: May 10, 2007, 01:33:33 AM
this page might interest you all, theres some valuable information a little down the page: http://www.armchairgunshow.com/otsAZ_conversions.htm

 Cool

The book is very good. Aside from "showing off" the author's and other collector's rare factory engraved peices, its full of information about the conversions. As far as I can remember, it doesn't delve into non-factory Leone-type conversions.
77  General Information / Sergio Leone News / Ernest Farino's OUATITW book with SL interview etc on: February 20, 2007, 04:45:34 AM
It sounds like you are referring to a previous book-in-progress which Ernest Farino advertised via a publisher some years ago. Ernest interviewed Sergio Leone in the early 1970s (1972 from memory) and he acquired an impressive collection of stills, especially behind-the-scenes stills from OUATITW. The site advertising the book also alluded to an extended list of cast/crew. I think that Ernest encountered some hindrance with the project, possibly (speculation here) conflict of interest with Paramount Pictures. Ernest regularly sells magnificent stills of Claudia Cardinale etc under the ebay store "thelandbeyondbeyond" or something similar. It would be very nice if Ernest Farino got a chance to complete his OUATITW project!
78  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: GBU script interest thread..... on: February 20, 2007, 04:32:31 AM
Hey guys, as some of you know, I have an original GBU continuity script. It's basically a shot for shot translation of the film, but it does yield some interesting details throughout, like character names etc. It's a great piece of memorablia for lovers of the film (like all of us).

Anyways, what I'd like to proposition is this, if there's enough interest (reply to the thread if you're interested), I'd be willing to either (a) make a digital pdf version (fairly cheaply), or (b) make paper copies (much more expensive, especially since the paper is a very odd long size (longer and slightly wider than legal paper).

In order to protect my original investment (but certainly not make any profit, I would still be at a "loss"), there would have to be at least 15 people for the pdf, maybe 10 for the paper version (either or, not both)....for the pdf (digital delivery), I think $10.00 is fair, for paper copies I'd have to get a price from a copy store, and then there would be the issues of shipping etc....of course, once I send the pdf out, it can be distributed freely etc, which is why I'd like to set the minimum at 15 people, I assume at that point the 15 might be reluctant to send it out for free to others, but at that point it's their choice (people can pool their buy fee as well I guess). For the money transfer, I'd hope to use paypal.

Mods, if selling here is against the rules, I apologize, please let me know, again, I'm trying to find a way to share this while recouping some of my original outlay for the script.

Thanks,

Jordan Krug

Thanks, sounds like a nice offer. I would certainly be interested in a pdf copy (or paper copy if that is the preferable option).
Cheers,

I think it's the one where the Confed old timer directs them to San Antonio. Or is it the 'six bullets' one... Undecided

That's the one - the scene (cut from the American release) where Tuco (with Blondie in the back of the coach) stops and gets directions from the old Confederate sergeant. There is a nice daytime shot of the location in Johnny Yuma.

Anyone know the status of the book that was supposed to be comming out on the GBU?

Pablo

I will be working on the book full-time in the next 6-7 weeks. I hope to tie up loose ends very soon. I will let you know a bit later. Alberto Grimaldi kindly agred to write a foreword (I first need to send him some overview material) and I was hoping to visit Carlo Leva again. It would be nice to solve the GBU night scene location - you can see the same location quite nicely (in daylight) in two scenes of Johnny Yuma, but there are no surrounding landmark clues. There is a small chance that Carlo Leva has something about the location written on one of his sketches.
Cheers,

BA has been gone for almost a month now.

your problem is a glitch. The same happened to Kermit (now CISCO).

Good to know - thanks.

Something about an IP code. If your computer has a similar one to a banned member, then yours might be banned too.

This problem has happened before.

OK, thanks, it sounds like an error. It would be nice to revesre the problem since the server recognizes my IP address which prevents access from my usual port.

I usually login as Hanley but for some unknown reason my registration/membership has been blacklisted or something similar. I get a message like, "hanley, you are banned from this forum." A reason would be nice (-:

You could also add the cooking stove (with two pots on it) in Angel Eyes's barracks at the Betterville Prison scene. At first, the metal door has no vertical slots. After Tucoenters, the same stove has a door with 5 vertical slots.
