1  General Information / General Discussion / Fistful of Frags video game comedy movie on: December 25, 2007, 11:58:07 AM

There's this new "modification" for the game Half Life 2 called Fistful of Frags that takes you to the west fighting for treasure, chock full of Leone references. Anyway, here's a movie done in the game with lots of humor and puts the crazy people playing the game in a satirical light.

Enjoy! Can't really explain it, it's supposed to be a guy trying to go around the game learning about it and gets something completely different, still it's full of laughs.

What exactly happened there? I read something about it on IMDB.

i've been doing further research and i seriously don't think it's on the expanded soundtrack. it's the music that plays right after they break indio out, its breif but i cant believe they dont have it here, its right when guns start shooting inside the jail when indio is with them. and its before they knock on the door and one of em delivers the line "rodriquez, senor"

anyone know anything? an urgent response would be great  Afro

also, what about the part where it flashes from indio's wanted poster to lee van cleef's face back/forth and you hear that loud clangor? is that on the soundtrack?

Everyone knows of the original soundtrack with the 8 songs, but is there anything with the cool music when they break indio out of jail, or any other music not in the original soundtrack? i'm making a parody of that scene for a video production and I was wondering if I could find anything remotely similar to it. if there is an expanded soundtrack, is there any good US site to get it from? and what track # is that fast piano part on the FAFDM extended soundtrack if there is one.

The next thing which applies to all Leone's spaghetti westerns are the great (original) gunshot sound effects. I think I read somewhere that they got them straight out of cartoons. Is there any such repisitory of preferably decent to high quality sounds of any such sound effects?

Thanks in advance, and long live the dollars trilogy  Grin

Sorry for the +1 year old thread bump, I found this interesting, but about the whole dead soldier setup thing and how they werent suspicious of them not waking up or whatever...being wounded is a good point. But what if the soldiers had some sort of very important note or deed in a pocket? They had no idea what to suspect, they were just following what they thought was a lead. As the baxters stated on the way there, they needed evidence.

As for how the Rojos didnt question the fact that the Baxters knew about it...I cant believe I didn't think of that.

"When a man has money in his pocket he learns to accept peace."

He had earned money from the town, was suspicious of being a part of the whole thing, and I don't think the governments take any slack like the Rojos and Baxters did. You saw the people bringing out gold before, right? They would've shot him the second time. So Joe probably figured, I got this money and I shouldn't be around otherwise I could be detained for who knows what. That's the philosphocial way to look at it, the obvious one is because the damn movie is over and Joe has to move on Tongue

Hi. Just registered to the boards.  Grin

I wont write a book here, but i'm making a parody movie of Fistful of Dollars, and i'm looking for all the songs used in the movie.

There is one song when Clint has escaped the compound, crawling around town crippled, and the bartender was getting beaten up by the rojos. I recorded it from the movie but I can't really have all the background noises for the video I am making. I looked at two different soundtracks and couldn't find anything for it. Heres the clip download:

Any idea if this was ever included in a soundtrack? If not, that's ok. I might get the soundtrack but was wondering if any tracks are legitimately free to download someplace or even some samples of the music.

Anyway, if you don't have answers to that, I was watching Fistful the other day and I always found that at the very end, Clint is dueling all the Rojos and the one guy - Esteban, didn't go out to join them in the fight but rather picked his butt the entire time until AFTER his two brothers and comrades got shot to even aim at Clint, only to get shot by the bartender. What was that character thinking, if any, and what was Sergio thinking about having that part in at all? I haven't seen Yojimbo and I think hearing the equivalent to that would be funny, but seriously, what a lame resolution/plot twist that was, haha.
