2971  General Information / General Discussion / Most badass character of a Leone movie? on: December 26, 2006, 10:26:20 PM
Anyone who says anyone other than Blondie/Joe/The Man With no Name is clearly an idiot.

I guess Harmonica is passable, though.
2972  Other/Miscellaneous / Off-Topic Discussion / What kind of music do you listen to? on: December 26, 2006, 10:13:09 PM
There's no denying that I myself has the most boring, biased taste in music I have personally ever heard of. Most of my day, I just listen to The Beatles and Billy Joel.

Aside from that, I ocassionaly listen to The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, and The Eagles.
2973  Films of Sergio Leone / Other Films / What is your favorite non-Leone western? on: December 26, 2006, 10:08:11 PM
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid as well as High Noon are two of my favorite westerns not done by Leone.

Another honorable mention is Dances With Wolves, along with The Outlaw Josey Wales.
2974  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: 40 years ago today 12-23-1966 on: December 26, 2006, 10:06:08 PM
I didn't know of this anniversary, but I did happen to watch it again on the 24th. What an amazing film.

2976  Other/Miscellaneous / Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Chapter 27 :The Mark Chapman story before shooting Lennon on: December 26, 2006, 10:01:56 PM
Most people know that Chapman shot Lennon for one main reason: he wanted to be famous.

Fans of Lennon all around the world do not want to give Chapman attention for doing this, which was his personal goal in killing Lennon. All this movie is doing is giving him attention, and I will not be one of the people to spend $7 to give this Chapman character some publicity.
2977  Films of Sergio Leone / A Fistful of Dollars / Fistful of Dollars or Yojimbo? on: December 26, 2006, 09:59:43 PM
As most may know, Fistful of Dollars is a remake of Kurosawa's Japanese masterpiece Yojimbo.

I prefer Yojimbo myself. The characters and plot are much more engaging, it's a better made movie, it has superior acting, and I prefer the samurai theme for that particular story over the cowboy theme.
2978  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: Your favourite scene in this movie? on: December 23, 2006, 07:03:09 PM
I've always loved the bridge sequence, and of course, the final twenty minutes in the cemetary.
2979  General Information / General Discussion / Re: Hello, all. on: December 23, 2006, 07:00:43 PM
I still have not watched Fistful of Dynamite or My Name Is Nobody, which I've heard are both good movies. I'll probably Netflix them sometime this week.
2980  Films of Sergio Leone / Once Upon A Time In America / Re: De Niro Last Smile on: December 23, 2006, 09:55:06 AM
That's a very good assumption. I never really distinguished the meaning of his smile at the end.
2981  General Information / General Discussion / Hello, all. on: December 23, 2006, 09:52:53 AM
I just joined up here, and although this thread has probably been made many times, I shall make it again to get to know you people - what is your favorite Leone film?

I would rank his best 5 in this order:

1. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (#2 in my Top 10)
2. Once Upon A Time In America (#4 in my Top 10)
3. Once Upon A Time In the West (#10 on my Top 10)
4. For a Few Dollars More
5. Fistful of Dollars

Oh, and there is a user from another board I go on that goes by the name of "unfrzncavmnlwyr9". I do not know who he is here, though.
