16  Films of Sergio Leone / For a Few Dollars More / Re: Indio: Madman or drug addict? on: May 13, 2008, 10:02:46 PM
Being an addict may have created his becoming a madman...or perhaps he is a madman who enjoys being an addict.  I think he is both a madman AND a drug addict...among other things.

OK, grotto or mine or cave.
19  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / The Cave scene on: May 11, 2008, 11:59:10 PM
Tuco's soon to be new gang climbed down into the cave by way of rope.  Did they climb out using the same method or did they come in the same way Tuco did?  What were they doing hanging out above the hole in the cave? Waiting for the potatoes to cook? or waiting for Tuco?
20  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Tuco vs. Angel Eyes on: May 11, 2008, 11:55:04 PM
Tuco's accuracy is unquestioned but I think Angel Eyes would be quicker on the draw. Tuco gets motally wounded and Angel Eyes gets hit in the leg.
21  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: Do you think that Angel Eyes would have shot Stevens.... on: May 11, 2008, 09:07:00 PM
Angel Eyes came to shoot. And he took his sweet ass time to do it. After a tasty snack that is...
Oh by the way...One of the best lines in the movie and my personal 2nd favorite...and it was spoken by Angel Eyes in only the way LVC could deliver...  "Nice Family"...( great scene ).  I'm off to watch a little GBU before bed... I think I'm the only person who has a DVD player used exclusively for GBU, it's the only movie that has ever played on it...
22  General Information / General Discussion / Re: Who's the baddest bad-ass? on: May 10, 2008, 08:10:03 AM
Whoa... Lets not all gang up on me a once.  I NEVER said he didn't offer two drinks!  Giving the bottle of booze to the confederate soldier, in my opinion didn't show any sweet spot.  I do stand corrected  in another way about half-soldier. He actually didn't buy him a drink, just gave him some money...half-soldier just did what he wanted with the money...which was buy some whiskey. I just figured you all knew what I meant.  He's still the baddest ass though...lol "Keep it, it's yours"

I can't wait to experience my millionth viewing!  This movie still amazaz me.
24  General Information / General Discussion / Re: Who's the baddest bad-ass? on: May 09, 2008, 12:34:20 PM
After much pondering...I think we can all agree that the most bad ass is Angel Eyes.  The only sweet spot he ever showed was when he bought half-soldier a drink..though he probobly was responsible for the loss of half soldiers legs. Thanks to all those that voted but realistically deep down Angel Eyes is the clear victor.

I'd have to say Angel Eyes.  Indio Killing a woman and baby is the mark of a coward not a bad ass.
A bad ass beats you and lets you live to think about it with no regard weather you're a man or woman.
The look on Tuco's face when he snapped the case on his fingers is the mark of a bad ass. And after slapping the fresh whore in the territory all he did was continue to press his point.  When he was no longer a bad ass happened at the shootout.  Look at his eyes...he know he's at a disadvantage but has no alternative but to stick around and try and shoot his way out of the predicament he's in.  His eyes told the whole story...and the failure shown in them when he was on his knees looking at Blondie showed how he knew that his days of a bad ass were moments from ending.  more on that later. Sorry Angel Eyes...no gold for you.

Thank you for the information about Tommie Conner.  I did not know that he had died and now I'm informed.  I was told that he was still alive and asked for information in a recent post.  Now I know.  It's amazing how much information I am getting. Thank you , thank you, thank you. You bounty killers rock!

I do think it's Angel eyes' ghost. hmmmmm
29  Films of Sergio Leone / The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Re: Tuco's rings? on: May 07, 2008, 09:09:25 PM
He surely didn't buy them.  Tuco loved the hunt and acquisition for money more than he loved carrying it around. He didn't like bulky things on his body...he wouldn't even wear a holster..just a lone leather string...if he had a wad of cash he'd just as soon stash it then carry bills (which he wouldn't have trusted or Gold coins because of the weight). This is evidenced somewhat when he opened the sack of gold coins, spreading them all over...It was the hunt...not the trophy.  I couldn't imagine Tuco walking into a jewelry store to buy some rings and then put the change from his purchase into his pocket. lol

There was no need to shoot it. SL seldom overlt explained things to his audiance.  It was always sit down and hold on and keep up. remember we have the luxury of being able to have as many repeated viewings as we want.  And we can pick it apart and analyzit a million ways.  Which I'm sure we will...ha ha Grin
