Thanks. The site was originally created by a guy named Andrew H. I believe and then was handed over to Mike A. who then passed it over to me. I set up and modified this new version of the Web board but the general content of www.fistful-of-leone.com has been online for many years now.

Since it's Christmas season, just wanted the newbies here (Cal - why am I still a "newbie"?) to know that Tommie Conner, who wrote the lyrics for "Story of a Soldier" is best known for the Christmas classic "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus", unbelievable.  "Story of a Soldier" was apparently his last published work.

There are 5 levels of titles. You are a newbie until you hit 25 posts I think.

Probably becasue the server you are grabbing this image from does not allow this. It probably  has Blocked Inline-Images set in the htaccess file.

Some browsers, such as Internet Explorer 6 have much tighter default security settings which may create problems when logging into Web Boards such as this one.

If you are using I.E. 6 and can't post messages try this:

On your browser menu bar, click Tools/Internet Options and click on the Privacy tab. Near the bottom of this window click Edit and enter http://www.fistful-of-leone.com the text field and then click ALLOW.

This will allow this site only to use cookies, which is what is used to store your login information.

If you are using I.E. 5 and can't post messages try this:

On your browser menu bar, click Tools/Internet Options and click on the Security tab. Then click on the Trusted Sites icon and click Sites. Add http://www.fistful-of-leone.com inside the text field and UNCHECK the box that says "Require server verification..." Click OK.

That should do it!

If not email cal@fistful-of-leone.com

So i guess they wanted his character to be older then, even though he was only 41 or so at the time.

Well, the reality is that Van Cleef was only 5 years older than Eastwood in real life. Van Cleef was born  in January 1925, Eastwood was born in May 1930. I like the older man, younder man thing they had going in this film. I just found it interesting that they were almost the same age, that's all.
